The series is now in full swing making it's first trip to Southern California's high deserts just below the Los Padres National Forest. The Hungry Valley SVRA and Quail Canyon MX Track just outside of Gorman, Ca will be the staging grounds for Round 3 of the Kenda/SRT West Hare Scramble Championship hosted by the Prospectors MC for the 2nd year in a row. Over 300 riders took to the start line in 2015 and with the momentum the series has it looks to be even larger for 2016!

Prospectors MC has been hard at work on a brand new course for this season, spear heading the installation of a brand new "over/under" that allows them to easily switch the inbound and out bound traffic. They will be utilizing trails that they have not been able to include in their events in over 20 years! It will consist of fast washes, mountainous 2 track and some great twists and turns through the trees. While it is not true "desert" racing it is definitely a huge change from the mud of Round 1 and the technical single track of Round 2. Lending to the series' diversity and ability to test riders of ALL backgrounds.

The Overall/AA and FMF Pro 250 points chases are already heating up with 2 rounds down. Motorsport Hillsborough backed Kevin Rookstool (38 points) currently has a 2 point lead over the Purvines Racing Beta of Nick Burson (36 points) with a 2nd place and an 8th place to Burson's 10th Place and 2nd Place. Rookstool has been looking phenominal in the FIM Super Enduro series the past few weeks however Gorman is Burson's "home turf" so to speak. He took the win by nearly 5 and a half minutes over the RPM KTM of Travis Coy (32 points), who is currently tied in 4th with Factory Husqvarna's Jacob Argubright, in 2015 and is looking to take over the points lead at Round 3. KLiM backed Justin Bonita (33 points) sits in 3rd after two solid finishes over the past 2 rounds.

In the FMF Pro 250 class GOT Racing's Dante Oliveira (51 points) leads 707 Suspensions Max Parker (49 points) by 1 point with 707 team mate Dillon Sheppard (46 points) sitting just 5 points down from the 2. Another 707 Suspension rider Jonothan Godman (37 points) sits in 4th after a podium at Round 1 with Team SRT's JT Baker (36 points) rounding out the top 5 with a pair of 4th place finishes.
