BOLT replaces CHARLIER!

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team were pleased to welcome the return of Mathias BELLINO (F) in Hungary, but they suffered more bad luck when his EnduroGP team-mate Christophe CHARLIER (F) was forced to abandon the GP due to a fracture of the metacarpal. The Corsican will not be able to start the Maxxis Grand Prix of Greece this weekend either. Andreas HÖLZL, his manager, has therefore decided to replace him for this race with an up-and-coming star from Hard Enduro : Billy BOLT (GB) !

The Brit, a former trials rider, who will turn 20 this year, is considered by many to be the successor to Graham JARVIS (GB – Husqvarna)! He emerged on the scene at the 2016 Erzberg Rodeo, and on his debut the rider from Wallsend near Newcastle took a very impressive 5th place ahead of top riders such as Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL – KTM) and Wade YOUNG (RSA – Sherco). At the beginning of 2017, BOLT became the new British Hard Enduro Champion following on from legends JARVIS and David KNIGHT (GB – KTM)…

The protege of Paul EDMONDSON will make his debut in the EnduroGP class with the 350 FE left vacant by the unlucky CHARLIER.
BOLT, with his excellent technical skills, will have to try his luck against the top riders in the premier category. After the announcement that the Xtreme Test in Grevena will be the most difficult of the whole season, this could be the perfect opportunity for him to face up to the best riders in World Enduro but one question remains; can he match their pace?

After the arrival of wildcard Lars ENÖCKL (A – KTM) in Hungary, another Hard Enduro star will enter the FIM Maxxis EnduroGP World Championship : Billy BOLT.

He will add to the strong contingent of talented British riders in the paddock and will hope to make a good impression in Grevena…

In the meantime we would like to send our best wishes to Christophe CHARLIER, and hope that he can make a speedy recovery and continue his strong rookie season soon.
