PUTOLINE EUROTEK NORTHERN ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 5

THE LANGDALE 2 ENDURO

Ryedale MCC played host to Round 5 of the Northern Enduro Championship. The lap was around 22 miles with 2 checks, a shortish technical tight check & a longer check with fuel & new Enduro test.

The Expert class of 6 riders were flagged away at 10am sharp. Spike Gilby on the Aklams BETA was looking in great form posting two great test times. However disaster struck for Spike when at the end of test 2 he clipped a stump causing him to retire. As the day progressed Alistair Griffin (KTM) came out on top with 3 consistent test times all within a second of each other. Daniel Knaggs (BETA) was 2nd 6 second behind. These 2 both clean on time. Chris Raynor was 3rd, Richard Dakin 4th. Vince Harker had to retire with a puncture.
It was a to be another close battle in the Over 40ís as Kyle Deswert (BIKESPORT KTM) took the win with a margin of just over a second from Mark Houson. These 2 posting some great test times which would of seen them challenge the experts. These 2 also clean on time. Alex Owen was 3rd and Mark Raynor 4th.

Clubman class honours went to the ever improving Ryan Patrick on his HUSKY. Ben Allinson was 2nd place and Aaron Walker 3rd. Local lad James Earp had to retire with a broken frame.

Over 50ís honours once again went to Gary Parr, followed by John Wadsworth and Andy Dean. Ricky Pearson won the Sportsman from Billy Compton and Kris Keepin.
