Lampkin on prime time TV Fifth Gear - Channel Five Monday 22nd June 2009 - 8.00pm (UK)

Dougie Lampkin will once again be the subject of prime time TV when he appears on the highly popular Fifth Gear motoring programme on channel FIVE this coming Monday evening. This is the second ocassion this year that Lampkin has been the subject of this main-stream show, with Dougie's exploits with Vicki Butler-Henderson back in February having been received extremely well by the mass viewing audience.

Dougie was faced with a different challenge this time around, with the former multi World champion tasked with teaching comedian Ross Noble the finer details of trials riding. The Geordie stand up performer who now lives in Australia with his wife and young child is a keen biker and put Lampkin at the top of his request list when he was approached by Fifth Gear.

Noble is a global star and tours on a regular basis as well as making regular TV and radio appearances on shows such 'Jack Dee Live at the Apollo', 'Have I Got News For You' and 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue'. When not performing Noble is an avid motorcyclist and has the scars to prove it, although these were not caused by the trials bike, he got these when back on his farm in Australia.

Lampkin teamed up with Noble at the unlikely venue of Haigh Country Park near Wigan, where Dougie had assembled an assortment of man made obstacles for the comedian to tackle under his careful guidance. Equipped with a new Beta Evo 2T kindly supplied by John Lampkin Imports, Ross made good progress throughout the day and formed a good relationship with the thirty-three year old trials champion.

The exploits of Ross and Dougie can be seen in full on Fifth Gear - Channel Five - at 8.00pm this coming Monday, 22nd June.
