The Optoma Loans Great Britain ISDE Team had their official launch during the Hafren 2 Day round of the 2007 British Enduro Championship round at Llanidloes, Wales. It was the first time the National Trophy Team and the National Junior Trophy Team had got together since the team was announced a few weeks ago. Great Britain will be sending 2 teams to the World Team Championships in Chile in November with six riders in the Trophy Team and four in the Junior Trophy Team (under 23 years of age). The Teams will compete against 32 countries from around the world in what is known as the Olympics of Motorcycling and is one of the oldest Enduro races in the sport. Each rider will ride up to 280 Kilometres in seven hours each day over varied and rough terrain. The GB Team includes a previous World Champion, current and former British Champions and the Junior Team of under 23 year olds are all promising ISDE riders.

Andrew “Dusty” Martin, Optoma Loans GB ISDE Team Manager said: “It was great to have all the guys together for the launch and they will be working hard between now and November in training for Chile. It is a shame that current world champion, David Knight is not able to be part of the team due to his factory ride commitments but this means that Chris Hockey has been again called up into the team, which is another fantastic opportunity for him. I know they guys are looking forward to getting out there and representing their country.”
