Jake Miller finishes the Scottish Six Days Trial

Ride for Life - Cancer Research UK - Mission Accomplished

After six long and hard days I am pleased to report that I have managed to achieve my goal of finishing the 2008 Scottish Six Days Trial. A first class award after an absence of nineteen years was more than I could have hoped for.

The journey was as difficult as I imagined, and pretty painful from half way through the first day onward. It would have been easy to have ‘thrown in the towel’, but the constant reminder of what I was riding for was enough to drive me on. Thanks to everyone who has kindly donated, I have managed to raised around £3500 (further donations continue to arrive) for an extremely worthy cause.

Trials is not normally a team sport, but without the kind support of Beta UK, Harry Lampkin and others I would simply never have made it to the finish. Due to the over whelming response to my achievement, and a late influx of donations we have decided to keep the fund open until FridaVan insurance from eVan Insurancey of this week. Monies can be pledged by calling 0161 763 6660, or by visiting www.g2fshop.com – all major credit / debit cards accepted. Alternatively cheques made payable to Cancer research can be sent to G2F Media, 3 The Old Court House, Tenterden Street, Bury, BL9 0AL.

For those who have already pledged monies, but have not yet paid, please can you arrange prompt payment of the same by the methods stated above.

Yours in Sport, but slightly sore – Jake Miller
