Yamaha Offroad Experience Enduro Team 2018 Season Review

The 2018 season has been another successful year for the team, with Fraser Flockhart winning the Scottish Enduro Championship and Charlie Evans the Welsh Enduro Championship.

The British Enduro Championship saw some mixed results. The first round was held down in Hampshire in February and visited Yorkshire, Scotland, Isle of Man, Wales and finished again in Hampshire in October. It was Fraser's first year on the team riding the WR 450F and its was great to see his riding and results improve as the season went on. He finished 7th Overall and 3rd in E2 class, amongst a field stacked with World class talent.

Jay Thomas riding a WR 250F had a great start to the season, but unfortunately missed the second part of the season due to injury and personal reasons. The highlight for him was a 4th overall and E1 class win at the Scottish round.

Youngest rider in the team Alex Walton, aboard the YZ 125 in his first year riding in the top class of the British Championship had a strong season. He made some big improvements as the season went on and narrowly missed out on wining the 125 Championship finishing 12th Overall. Alex also finished a great 6th Overall in the British Sprint Championship and rode some rounds of the Enduro World Championship with a fantastic 5th place in the Youth 125 class at the final round in Germany.

The final member of the team, local rider Charlie Evans, had some good results on the WR 450F this season. It was great to see Charlie supporting some of the local clubs in Wales and competing in the full series of the Welsh Enduro Championship and taking the title. In the British Championship it was a mixed season finishing 14th overall and 7th in E2 class.

2019 will see a slightly new rider line-up, which will be announced very shortly!
