A massive well done to all involved and thanks to all helpers and the awesome CTR marshals officials next CTR EVENT is Training Practice Saturday 31.05.2014/01.06.14 Summer Series Championship SSC 2014 RD3 see you then. Photos enduronews.com - Roadrunner

5 Josh Gotts made the trip up from Cornwall for an unchallenged assault on CTR's winter series championship round 5 in what can only be described as extreme winds and extremely wet weather. Mostly events would have been called off but team CTR expected the deluge and built a 5 mile challenging yet flowing course with fast flowing "rest bits" and "hard working parts" to warm the body back up. There were 2 Hard loop options for the brave, After a hard week of enduro hare and hounds race track building it was time to drop the starter flag and set the hard men of enduro hare and hounds racers away with the experts 1st to go, It was Nick Life who took the holeshot to lead the group away next was the Vets and it was Gary McCoy with the Vets holeshot. Next the clubman with Jordan Ridgeway taking the holeshot and last to be let loose was the Sportsman-Novice with Brad Williams taking the holeshot. As all the bikes had now disappeared from sight and sound, all eyes were on the lap scoring area to see who would appear first. Leading the first lap was the Perkins brothers with Richard ahead of Rhys. Just 2 seconds separating them and 6 seconds later was a super fast Josh Gotts. Josh looked well up for the win with Nick Life and Ross Hancock a few bike lengths behind in the hunt, The 1st none expert around was Vets expert Ryan Leary followed by Rydian Evans, Steve Biddle and Gary McCoy, The first clubman around was crazy fast Sonny Parker showing that turning up to the Saturday's race practice day pays off with Craig Thomas and Jordan Ridgeway some 30 seconds later, First Vets clubman around was Toby Bevan with a big long lead over his fellow Vets Clubman, First sportsman around was Sam Skryme. Lap 2 it was all change with Josh Gotts now leading the race with Rhys Perkins now in 2nd and Derry Milling 3rd. Nick Life had moved up a few places to 6th and so had Ross Hancock in 8th, Vets experts was still Ryan Leary with Steve Biddle 2nd Gary McCoy was chasing 3rd, Clubman was being led by Sonny Parker with Craig Thomas 2nd and like a train Jordan Ridgeway in 3rd, Vets clubman was led around lap 2 by Toby Bevan and Owen Cooper 2nd with Neil Price 3rd, The sportsman was led around by charging big Sam Skyrme with Brad Williams 2nd and Dean Waters 3rd. Midway of the race and with pits stops now playing a part of the race Gotts was building a commanding lead. Derry Milling pulled out with a snapped chain. Nick Life was finding his rhyme Ross Hancock moved to 3rd but they left it too late to catch the young gun Josh Gotts as he also was getting faster and looked like never getting caught with Life and Hancock charging hard behind him, In the Vets expert newly appointed Vet Steve Biddle was now leading Ryan Leary and Gary McCoy was now 3rd Vets Clubman was led by Toby Bevan with Ady Stagg 2nd and Neil Price 3rd, Clubman was led by Jordan ridgeway with Craig Thomas taking 2nd while Sonny Parker was pitting and going 3rd, In the Sportsman-Novice class it was Brad Williams leading with Jack Heath 2nd and Dean Waters 3rd Sam Skryme had dropped back with a snapped chain. After 2 & a half hours of CTR enduro hare and hounds racing the chequered flag was dropped to very happy dirt bike racers and it was time to judge the muddiest face competition it was all very close with Rhys Perkins just getting it over well everyone else lol, It was a very challenging start to a new year thanks to everyone involved you all helped to make this happen we will see you all for the CTR Events winter series championship final on February 16th and don't forget the 15th race practice day your all welcome see you all then thanks again CTR EVENTS.
