"CRAIGER'S
ON FIRE"
'RYMXC' Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held their Welsh Two-Day Open Trophy Meeting and also Rounds 9 and 10 of the Club Championship on Sunday 7th & 8th August 2010 at the brilliant Saint Wells Track nr Bwlchysarnau. Saturday started out with light rain but the sun soon came out late morning and dried the track for perfect racing conditions, with Sunday also being dry! The weekend brought some very exciting racing indeed and in every group the racing was at a very high standard which was fantastic to see! Everyone had a brilliant time in the tug-of-war, egg and spoon races and also the quiz on Saturday night where DJ Jammie (Jamie Morris) did a disco and Mrs Janet Rees made some very tasty food for all. It was great to see all the families enjoying themselves and relaxing at the end of a very busy day! But they all looked a bit rough on Sunday (except me) with a few bad heads floating around the paddock!!! The senior's were first out the gate and oh boy they certainly delivered with the Awesome Adam Morris having some brilliant starts and really pushing hard from the word go! But, it wasn't for long as the incredible Oliver Paine totally dominated the whole weekend taking six out six race wins with great ease and showed some outstanding racing for all to watch taking first overall. Awesome Ad was not far away taking six second places throughout the weekend, he really did pull out all the stops riding very consistently and using his head taking some great lines and showing everyone he has an amazing ability finishing in a very strong second overall. The lovely Gareth Hughes is never far away either and rode very well all weekend proving he's not to be messed with, his jumping was very good and he seemed to carry a lot more speed out of the corners with a strong consistent ride yet again to finish on the podium! It was good to see Mathew Rees back in the saddle and my goodness he certainly proved a point finishing in fourth overall and looking very good indeed, so watch out! Jake Guy rode very strongly and always makes sure the other riders know hes there! Jake had a unlucky day one after hurting his hand but still got a fourth in the race one on Sunday which put him in the top five over the weekend! In the two-stroke senior group was great to see the polite Ryan Nicholls take the win of the weekend with a very very proud mum! Nicholls really did ride very well and battled the whole weekend with David Price, with David never making it easy especially on day one when David had the win of the day but it was reversed on day two when David had bike problems! Both lads had a fantastic result for the weekend and are really improving all the time, so watch next year! It was girl power in third overall with Miss Hannah Hope going very well and carrying a lot more speed (which her dad wants her to) and jumping very well. Hannah pushed hard all weekend even after a crash on day one where she disappeared down a bank but she was soon back on and continued with a sore shoulder and hand! Fourth place overall went Aaron Nicholls who really enjoyed the weekend and did extremely well and seemed to love the fast track! Tanisha Thomas rode very well on Sunday taking the win of the day with Rhain George who was back in the saddle!
The Inter-Open group was just as exciting as the polite and lovely Dan Craig totally nailed the weekend taking all six races in great style. Dan really has improved so much this year and is full of confidence which is great to see and it certainly paid off for him as he carried amazing speed in and out of the corners and jumped very, very well! Charging hard in second place overall was Dan Griffiths who rev'd the tits off his big wheel over the jumps and tried really hard to stay focused. Ryan Waters had a tough weekend after still being slightly sore after a previous crash he battled on to take third overall and never gave up. A very pleasing fourth went to Mr Cool Himself Kairon Watkins who really seemed to enjoy the whole weekend and worked hard around the fast track in every race. Pushing hard was the lovely Harri Clarke who is always so enthusiastic to ride and tries his best, doing a very good job over the two days and it paid off to take fifth overall! The Inter-85 class was very close all weekend between Luke Craig and Dan Wheeler, Both riders just blew everyone away with their ability and shear determination and really putting on a show for the spectators to watch! But it was the ever strong and focused Luke Craig who came out on top just four points in front of Wheeler over the two-days in the end. Craig was outstanding and showed Wheeler he's not to be messed with on the fast track taking some very good lines along the way! But i can tell you that Wheeler never made it easy and piled on the pressure from the first race making sure not to leave the door open when he was out in front. Wheeler was outstanding to and both riders made good of the weekend with lots of guts!! Kieron Cooke had a very strong ride throughout the two-days and had good consistent races and looked very quick indeed to finish in third while Connor Clewett tried hard to sort him out taking home an awesome fourth place. Clewett always races on the edge and carried fantastic speed for most of the track never giving up! Fifth overall went Ieuan Morgan who seemed a bit off the pace but still Mighty Morgan knows never to stop fighting after that gate drops and he trucked on all weekend! Making the top six was our very own Wild William Jones who battled with Mighty Morgan along the way. Wild Will has a lovely style and rode very well, working hard all the time. Alex 'Bubba Smooth' Walton dominated the junior group and took all six race wins with great ease making sure he had some good starts out the gate. Piling on the pressure was the ever talented Ryan 'The Rocket' Rowland's who i can tell you is very hungry for the win! Both riders were outstanding especially over the jumps where everyone loved to watch them! Rocket finished in a very proud second place overall. In a very strong third overall was the lovely Ross Davies who really enjoyed the track and the atmosphere and can't wait to ride with RYMXC again! Rossi had some quick starts out the gate and really attacked the fast track with lots of force and determination, and is a very good mover on the dance floor to!!! Fourth went to the talented Alex Lancett who was only four points behind Rossi over the two-days. Lancett is a gutsy rider and looked very strong around the circuit pushing the limits all the time as he tried hard to break Rossi on day two. Callum Evans had a controlled consistent weekend to finish in fifth place overall and jumped very well always trying his best. Iwan Roberts topped the top six with a hard weekends racing! In the Auto class it was Mr Harry Edmondson who was really getting heated up on day one with nose to nose battling with the very quick Dominic Lancett. On joint points it was Edmondson who had the last race win to take the crown over the two-days. Both Edmondson and Lancett are two very talented little riders and really deserved a huge clap for their efforts on the track, really pushing hard right to the chequered flag which kept the lap scorers on their toes as it was so close on times!! Lancett was more than happy to take home second place trophy and had a lovely smile when doing so! Third overall went the ever quick William Wheeler who just got quicker and quicker all weekend and looked in full control. James Hanscomb also went well and finished in fourth overall after riding on the edge, making sure he pushed the front of the field. Tommy Rowland's held on tight as he powered over the fast jumps but looked very good to take fifth overall with the brilliant Callum Baldwin topping the trophies in sixth place. RYMXC would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mr & Mrs Brian Rees,
Adam, James and Becky for all the their hard work in preparing the food
during the day and at night time and for the use of Saint Wells track.

'RYMXC' Rhayader Youth Motocross held Round 8 of the Club Championships on Sunday 18th July 2010 at the famous Neuadd Track nr Pen-y-bont. With showers all week it turned out to be a brillant days racing with a light drizzle on times and a cooling wind to quickly dry off the marshals! The AMX was a poor entry (lots of bad heads from Rhayader Carvinal the night before) but the standard of racing was top notch with Lee 'Stanley' Edmondson riding on the edge all day, teasing the Cool Chris Morris and Sam Jones all the way to the chequered flag taking two race wins. Cool Chris was absolutley awesome and made it look very easy as he ploughed around the long circuit taking one win and two very close second places. But it was rider Sam jones who was back in the saddle after a long time out after a nasty crash at last years team event who put Stanley and Cool Chris to sit up and fight. Sam was very, very quick out he gate and pushed hard all day to nail three pleasing thrid places. In races two and three it was the ever improving Chris Wright and the lovely Gerwyn Exon who battled hard against each other with Exon just leading for the first few laps and Wright just piled the pressure and took control. And what a battle from Wyn Hope and Julian Eckley in race three it was very very close indeed with positions changing all the time. Eckley is certainly getting his mojo back in some order and putting old boy Hopey to sweat! Both riders putting in a good strong performance for the spectators. Group one (up to 150/2stroke) of the Seniors was girl power all the way with three outstandings wins Tanisha Thomas sorted out the man from the boys yet again! With some fantastic jumping and some very fast lines Thomas proved she's not to be messed with and is climbing up that Championship board. Dean Plumstead had another great round on his Yamaha. Deano worked had all day and is just improving all the time carrying alot more speed and confidence he took home second overall with a smile! Ryan Nicholls had his best result to date in third overall and it was very much deserved as Nicholls cruised round the big track and just rose to the challenge with a good consistent ride. Hannah Hope kept trucking and never gave up as she held on to her big bike (shes only little), she carried alot more speed and jumped well. In Group two (250/4stroke) there was some very exciting starts as the Awesome Adam Morris made his mark. Awesome Ad pushed hard to keep the leads but it was Oliver Paine who took no messing on the fast following track. Perfect Paine made no mistakes and rode like a dream and he really did power round that track with Awesome Ad pushing hard not far behind. The two boys never fail to deliver some great racing with Ollie taking first overall and Ad settling for a outstanding second. Third overall went the Guttsy Gareth Hughes who was unlucky in race two after his bike stalled and it wouldn't start for a while but in the end he past the flag. Guttsy Gareth rode very well allday and sat in third place in races one and three on his own pulling away from the rest of the field trying hard to hunt down Paine and Morris in front. Wearing the crown in the Inter-Open (Big Wheels) was Ryan Waters taking two firsts and one second place he worked hes backside off all day and it certainly paid off. The racing was very exciting in this group and just two points behind Waters was Dan Griffiths taking the win in race one. Dan had a great day and really opened the throttle and was flying round the fast track. Dan had some brillant starts and took the holeshot in race three but had some bad luck after a slip off but soon fought back. Third place was taken by the ever improving Kairon Watkins who really pushed himself to the limit. Watkins had a crash in race two but that did not stop and soon was back in the saddle after taking a breather. Harri Clarke and Scott Plumstead both rode well and pushed ahrd all day and were both getting faster every lap. The Inter-85 (small wheels) was dominated by Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson
who really did pull out all the stops and put on a real show for the
spectators. Jacko took all three race wins with great ease. A outstanding
ride from Connor Clewett paid off as he finished in second overall with an
excellent days racing. Clewett always pushes the boundaries and never
gives up whatever is in his way and rode very well indeed. Third place
overall went to the strong and determined Mighty Ieuan Morgan even though
he had bike problems on the start of race three. Mighty Morgan always
crinds his teeth and gets stuck and it certainly paid off. Two riders who
had a really good ride were Jack Newell and Rhys Roberts both powering
forward without any problems. Bradley Eve was looking very quick In the Juniors it was 'The Rocket' Ryan Rowlands who took the bull by
the horns and finished in first overall with three straight wins taking a
huge lead from the rest of the group. The Rocket is going extremely well
on his 65cc and is proving to be a huge challenge to tackle and is just
getting quicker and quicker all the time! Joe Cadwallader proved to be
more than a handful as he charged forward showing great style and lovely
jumping, he is very strong and a lovely little rider. Joe took second
place overall with great ease. In third overall it was the Cool Callum
Evans who tested the field as usual and put in great effort having some
very strong starts. Chasing Callum hard was Iwan Roberts who really pulled
out all the stops to take home fourth place. Alfie Roberts also had a good
strong ride RYMXC would like to say a big thank you to Mr & Mrs Ray Collard for the Neuadd Track, St Johns, James Rees Catering, all the riders, parents and marshals who showed great support. Thank you everyone! See you all at next event on 7th & 8th August which is a Two-Day Open Trophy Round. RESULTS: REPORT BY Mrs Hayley Walton PHOTOS BY Mr Keith Bowen MX247
RHAYADER YOUTH MOTOCROSS CLUB " RYMXC", ROUND
7 Rhayader Youth Motocross Club 'RYMXC' held Round 7 of the Club Championships at Moelfre Track, St Harmon nr Rhayader on Sunday 27th June 2010. The first time the club had used the track all year and it had been prepared during the week being graded then rotovated and heavily watered Saturday night, Sunday morning and during a quick dinner break. With cooler conditions in the morning it soon warmed up with the sun beating down on the riders. After a few quick practice laps it was time to drop the gate on the crazy senior riders and they certainly delivered. The start gate was the most tense it has ever been with some very talented riders on it. But it was Oliver Paine in the four strokes who kept his cool and rode with such class taking three race wins but he didn't have it all his own way and had to work hard to get past Adam Morris, Luke Morgan and Gareth Hughes who always try to hard hold Ollie off wherever possible. Second place was very close with Gareth Hughes and Luke Morgan on joint points! A well deserved second overall went to Gareth who always seems to ride so consistently to bring home the higher scoring points and had some fantastic starts out the gate! Third place went to the extremely talented Luke Morgan who was out the gate like a rocket having an unlucky slip off after getting the wholeshot in race one which put him back to nearly last place but he still came through the field to finish in the top five, after pushing himself all day with a very good second place in race two. Adam Morris was having a awesome day and pushed Ollie all the way in races one and two but it wasn't to be in race three after having a crash which put him at the back up the field but he fought hard to claim fourth postion only for his bike to stop, just one point off Gareth and Luke!! In the two stroke class it was girl power all the way with the amazing and ever fit Tanisha Thomas taking two seconds and one first place to bring her just in front of Ben Nicholls by two points for the overall win of the day! Tanisha rode very well all day and takes the most unbelieve lines to hold off the boys behind her and they don't like it - not one little bit!! It was nice to see Ben Nicholls back in the saddle and he rode very well all day after doing his first race of the year to claim second overall. David Price had a brilliant result in third overall and just got stronger and stronger throughout the day as the track got rougher he seemed to get quicker and quicker, well done Dave! Next up were the Auto and Junior riders and this was very exciting with Harry 'Hazbo' Edmondson riding in a class of his own and pushing all riders to the edge never giving up and carrying an incredible amount of speed around the track. As the day went on the track got very rough but Hazbo just rose to the occasion taking three race wins. The determind Billy Boy Jones took the wholeshot in race three and his mother (Alfred) went mad with joy! 'Billy Boy' took home second overall after having a very good day and is just getting better and better every time out the gate, look out everyone. Third overall went to the ever improving Ben Willaims who fought hard with Tommy Rowlands and Charlie Morgan all day but he was strong and very determind which helped him on his way! Lady rider in the Autos Shauna Hope had a good ride with some excellent lines. The Junior winner was Mr Cool Alex 'Bubba' Walton who rode the rough track with ease and pushed himself all day taking all three races wins but he didn't have it all his own way on the starts as 'The Rocket' Ryan Rowlands was doing an awesome job at riding his 65cc bike. But The Rocket had some unlucky slip off's and settle for a extremely strong second overall after testing Bubba and trying to stay close on his tail. Callum Evans settled for third overall and is just improving all the time and flew out the gate in race one with the wholeshot and is just gettign quicker and quicker. Iwan Roberts had a excellent ride and despite slipping off a few times on the loose berms he always got back on with such strength and never gave up. In the Small Wheel it was Jack Edmondson who wore the crown with three outstanding wins and the rougher the track got the faster 'Jackie Boy' went and made it look very easy indeed. In hot persiut of Jack was the awesome Ieuan Morgan who used his head and played it safe with a excellent display taking home well deserved second overall. Jumping Jack Newell was a very happy lad getting his best result to date in third overall and has improved so much during the season so far and is just getting quicker, so look out boys and girls!!! Connor Clewett was unlucky in race three after a crash and missed out on third place overall by just on point! Tamara Morgan slipped off on a corner and hurt herself, so we hope she gets better soon. Overall in the Small Wheels it was very, very close in the mid pack with some great battles going on allday. So well done to you all! It was nice to Daniel Griffiths in the Big Wheel upping his game, riding with alot more determination and having some excellent starts which set him up nicely for the first corner from the gate. Dan pushed hard allday and it was good to see him taking home all three race wins and a very happy grandad in pink stripe boxer shorts!! Ryan Waters settled for a good second place after recovering from a nasty crash at the quailifers were he hurt his arm and shoulder. Ryan used his head and did what he needed to do to take home the higher scoring points riding very consistently. Josh Ford had a very good day finishing in third overall and had some excellent starts but looked fresh and strong all day and never gave up the fight and had some great battles with Kairon Watkins and Harri Clarke who pushed hard all day. Wholeshot Hopey - NOT was the winner in the Adult 150/2 stroke class but said he found hot and hard because of his age but he still seemed to deliver the win of the day over Awesome Adam Rees in second place and Lee 'Stanley' Edmondson in third. Jonthan Evans went very well in the 250/4 Stroke class and took all three race wins after riding very well but was being pushed by Chris 'Cubby' Price all the way. Cubby to found it hot and hard but never gave up! Julian Eckley had a good ride and was just getting quicker and quicker throughout the day and settled for a brillant third overall. Remember some of are riders had been riding the Welsh Two Day Enduro as well so well done to all of you. RYMXC would like to thank all the riders, everyone who marshaled and
everyone who bought raffle tickets and supported the club. AUTO Report By Mrs Hayley Walton Photos By Mr Keith Bowen mx 247

Ali "air time" Evans was on another planet in the big wheels making the 150 Honda sing through the deep loamy berms, Ryan "ryno"Waters being the best of the rest keeping Ali honest all day,Daniel Griffith's and Josh Ford finishing the day on equal points that's how close it was. Round 3 of the Doodson Motorsport B.S.M.A. National Series was hosted by Rhayader YMX Club at their Neuadd, Penybont circuit in Mid Wales. A long established track managed and manufactured in this fantastic part of Wales on the banks of the River Wye. The efforts of the Club to run their first National was very professional. Juniors were first to race on this long undulating track with local ace
Alex Walton (left) taking an excellent win pushed hard by Taylor Hammal
and Jack Booker. Race 2 was much the same up front with Harry kimber
taking 3rd. Race 3 was a disaster for Walton as Albie Wilkie improved as
the meeting progressed taking 3rd chasing home Taylor, Hammal and Harry
Kimber. The second day saw a revival in performance from Albie Wilkie
taking 2 superb wins with Alex Walton chasing hard for 2 runner up spots
which was enough to give him 1st overall on the week-end just ahead of
Taylor Hammal who fell heavily in his last outing with Albie Wilkie 3rd
and A good line up of small wheel 85cc were next to the line with Danny Lanfear not disappointing his supporters with a superb maximum but he had to catch holeshot man Henry Williams in every race, who gained a deserved runner up spot with 4 2nd positions and a 3rd Jordan Saunders finishing strong in every race was never out of the top 6, completed the podium. Several riders had good races but were caught out by this demanding track. Michael Ellis, Jamie Carpenter and William Wall battling it out for the minor positions. Big wheel 85 cc Liam Garland dominated the group with a superb maximum, Charlie Mills giving his usual 100% chased hard to gain 2 second positions but a heavy fall spoilt his chances . The mantle was left to Jake Gardener, but he could not keep the pressure on Garland and he had to settle for runner up in the last 3 races. Kieran Gregory rode consistently and was never out of the top 5. Improving after a poor start Liam Knight finished 4th from Olly Jones just in front of Rob Holyoake who spoilt his week-end with a disaster in Race 2. Jordan Bachelor could have easily taken 3rd on the week-end but a DNF in race 2 cost him dear in this very competitive group. Senior 125 was dominated by Chambers Wittle with an excellent maximum. The battle was always for runner up spot with Chase Neale and Jake Penny taking turns behind the leader but one bad race was enough to allow Nick Morris to snatch 2nd overall with just 3 points covering the 3 riders . Simon Booth and Calum Sloman completed the top 6. Senior 144/250 was where the action really started . If you looked at
the points with 4 wins and a 2nd you might think Shaun Springer had an
easy week-end, but he fought for every point battling through in every
race to gain an almost perfect maximum. Race 1 saw Luke Newman wheel to
wheel for the last couple of laps just hanging on to take the win but a
couple of punctures not helping his cause. Jordan Divall normally out of
the gate 1st had a disastrous start to the week-end coming from last in
his first race to just inside the top 10, with a similar finish in race 2.
On the second day he was back to his usual form with 2 runner up positions
and a 3rd. Consistent finishes gave Liam Knight a 1 point advantage over
Lloyd Pettett who produced some top 3 finishes on the 2nd day just in
front of Damon Brooks and Luke Newman. Open Class Ashley Thomas was never challenged once in front and gained a deserved maximum. Aaron Jenner finished with 5 2nd places improving as the meeting progressed. Charlie Heatley and Graham Lamb battled it out for 3rd. Quick starting Chris Morris was the most consistent of the support riders but Luke Blanchard was the most competitive certainly giving Ashley Thomas a hard time but a DNF in Race 3 spoiling his overall position. Once again a big thank you to the Rhayader Club and the Landowner for
all their efforts in making this a memorable meeting.
Rymxc ran the 1st round of the bsma welsh champs at the neuadd track on
sunday and the track was in A1 condition with some fantastic close racing
in all groupes throughout the day. Out next were the juniors and out front it was a supreme battle between Alex Walton and Ryan Rowlands who battled all day up hill and down dale with Alex coming away with the win and Ryan second .Iwan roberts was on top of his game and the battle with Callum Evans gave him third . The small wheel class was full of big hitters and it was Henry Williams who came out on top with three smooth, fast, controled wins, Jack "fast eddy" Edmondson really uped his game to take a great second ahead of some strong riders. Will Poutney and Kieron Cooke finished the day on the same points so close was the racing from the boys in 3rd and 4th. Ali Evans was the star of the show in the big wheels with three start to chequer wins and one of only a handfull of riders to clear the new 60ft table top on the 150 honda. Ryan Waters was pushing hard all day and had second for his hard work with Harri Clarke improving on a weekly basis in third. Jay Thomas was was on a mission in the two stroke seniors being the only rider to clear the down hill ski jump with ease, Jay did not have it his own way in race three with Chambers Whittle taking the win, coming on strong later in the day with blistering pace to take second.Nick Morris was close to the front two all day with a great ride in third. Ryan Williams was on great form in the fourstoke seniors with three straight wins and lap times to put some of the adults to shame,Oli Paine got faster as the day went on and got close to Ryan in race three which was a great achivment . another rider getting faster as the day went on was Ryan Thomas who got the better of Adam Morris in the later races to take third with Adam suffering with arm pump in fourth. Wyn Hope took the adult 150cc two stroke adult group from Specer Eve showing the young one,s how its done even after working on the track to 10pm most week nights. Carl Jones worked hard all day in the 250cc four stroke adults to take three very strong wins and boy can he jump making the 60ft table look easy,Lee Edondson coming back from a bad foot injury took a great second but the ride of the weekend was from Gerwyn Exon in third who rode out of his skin againt some great opposition. Jason Rowlands came good in the adult open taking the 450 PAR Honda to a great win from Chris Wright on the 450 Yamaha in second not to far behind in third was Andrew Cooper coming on strong later in the day. With a week of rain up to the event, and lots of clubs canceling there meetings rymxc "stepped up" and with a lot of hard work by the committee Sundays race was outstanding and a tribute to all that had the faith and trust to come out racing. Slightly damp in practice the sun and wind dried the track to perfect conditions for the first block of racing with the pressure washers never leaving the vans all day. The adult class were the first out with Simon Williams and Wayne price setting the pace early on, Simon having a crash in race two and sitting the rest of day out. the open group being won by Richard Lloyd taking the 450 Yamaha around so smoothly it was a masterclass to see, "cool" Chris Morris being as smooth in second with Jason Rowland's taking third in all action style. Wayne Price was stronger than everyone in the 250f class working hard to the end of every race to take the win even after crashing on the start of two races, Lee "tan tan" Edmondson in his first ride back after breaking his foot last year got faster all day taking the race tree win and second overall. fighting hard all day Chris "cubby" price took a well deserved third for the Zimmer frame gang. another one needing a Zimmer frame was Wynn "high side" hope who spent two days in bed earlier in the week (nothing to do with sexy Sarah) due to a big get off the previous weekend but ride he did and taking the 150 two stroke class win as well, Adam Rees pushing hopey all weekend and taking race three to earn the runner up slot and Spencer Eve in third.
Small wheel action was red hot with new boy Henry Ebbut taking all three wins with ease giving the spectators a masterclass on how to ride the ktm smooth and fast,in second was Kington hot shot Ieuan Morgan pushing hard all day in second with Jack "fast eddy" Edmondson in third battling all day Big brother to Henry Josh Ebbut (top) made it a clean sweep for the Ebbut household with three devastatingly fast shows of how to ride the 150 Honda in the big wheel class, Ryan Waters first outing this season looked good taking three strong seconds from Dan Griffiths in third who had a really up and down day after his last meeting win. The seniors were the last race of the day with a big group and some very close racing right down through the field, Oli Paine was the star attraction in the 250f group with two start to finish wins but a small deviation in the third race left him needing Speedos rather than his Arai as he went for a swim in the only puddle near the track, Adam Morris was a strong second getting faster on the 250 Honda all day. Luke Morgan took the third moto to round off a great days racing in third. the yz 125 of Nick Morris was singing in the 150cc two stroke seniors taking all three race wins and showing a lot of the 250f,s the way home, showing the boys how to do it was lady hotshot Tanisha Thomas in second and another speed building ride from Ryan Nicholls in third A special thanks to everyone how helped run the meeting and to all the riders who turned up expecting to ride in the wet but had the perfect racing conditions thanks AUTO: 1st HARRY EDMONDSON 2nd BILLY JONES 3rd NATHAN TOMLINSON Report By Mrs Hayley Walton Photos By Mr Keith Bowen
After weeks of snow and rain rymxc had perfect racing conditions for
round two of the club championships at the saints wells track on Sunday.
With the track in perfect condition fully rotovated and harrowed Adam Rees
did a great job which gave the spectators some great racing all day. Next up were the juniors and Alex "bubba" Walton putting on a fine display of fast technical riding taking all three races at warp speed, two points separated Iwan Roberts and Callum Evans at the end of the day and they were that close on the track racing side by side in all races, great show. The small wheels saw Jack "fast eddy" Edmondson totally dominate with race wins making the Suzuki sing around the saints wells valley,Ieuan Morgan came close in a couple of races but crashes held him back giving granddad tony plenty of practice with the spanners!. William Jones has now lost his "wild will" nickname as he put in three smooth races to take third on his new Honda.
For 2010 Rymxc has split the seniors into two stroke and four stroke to
make it more affordable for club members. Adam Morris was in superb form on the new 250 Honda in the senior fourstroke with some very smooth riding making it look effortless round the track. Gareth Hughes keeping adam honest in race two and three with some great close racing with second overall for his days work. Dave Lloyd had to work hard all day as his usual mount was in the workshop he used an older Yamaha enduro bike with great skill to third on the day. Wyn Hope took out the new 150 ktm in the adult 150 two stroke class and blew all the youngsters away with strong wins in all races, master Adam Rees taking second on the day trying to catch hopey at every opportunity. Spencer Eve moving up from the seniors finishing third Gas Gas uk rider Ashley Wood taking the adult 250 class with some spirited riding with two race wins and a second,Wayne Price taking the first race on the 250 ktm gave Ashley a run for his money with some strong come from behind rides.Julian Eckley is coming back from some bad breaks last year and come back he did with third overall "great ride" Gas gas uk rider Charlie Evans took first place in the adult open class on the 300 two stroke gasser which was looking cleaner than it had the previous weekend in thetford forest, Cool Chris Morris took second on the day also taking the second race from Charlie with some smooth riding on the 450 Suzuki. Mark Evans on the other 450 Suzuki taking third after damaging hi knee in race two ,rode through the pain AUTO 1st HARRY EDMONDSON 2nd BILLY JONES 3rd SHAUNA HOPE Report By Mrs Hayley Walton
'RYMXC' Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held their Annual Presentations on Saturday 7th November '09 at Rhayader Leisure Centre and oh boy what a night it was with special guest Factory Yamaha Rider and World No 6 Josh Coppins and we felt very privileged to have Josh with us for the evening. Club Chairman Christian Walton started the evening proceedings by thanking the Track Owners, St. Johns, Past & Present Committee Members, Riders & Parents and lots of other people who had helped run and supported the club during 2009. Christian gave a special thank you to Club Secretaries Mr & Mrs Lynn Evans who retired from their post and I presented them with a gift for all their hard work over the past four years! Then it was over to me a very, very, nervous Hayley who had to take the bull by the horns and get on with the job of holding the whole night together along with one or two bad jokes!!! (The one about Wyn Hope was my best)!!!!! Any way I firstly spoke briefly about how proud the committee was with all the riders who rode at the BSMA Semi Finals at Brookthorpe and how brilliant it was that we had four riders go through to the BSMA Finals at Swindon, as we had not had anybody qualify before! The Team Event was also a great experience for all RYMXC riders and everyone fully enjoyed it and what a huge result the Junior Team had got with fourth overall, they were absolutely brilliant for such young riders. Then I welcomed Josh to Mid-Wales and Rhayader Town and we kicked off with Josh presenting all the Club Championship Awards with some extremely excited children waiting in the wings and of course oldies!!
The night was the best yet and RYMXC would like to thank Mr Josh Coppins for giving up his time to present all the awards for 2009 and everyone who bought tickets and supported the club it means a lot. And thanks go to Rhayader Leisure Centre and Fingers & Forks for such lovely food and not forgetting DJ Jammie Disco! A big thank you goes to Mr Keith Bowen at MX247.com for all the great photos during the season and Dr Frank Morgan for all the brilliant dvds which everyone has loved. Thank you everyone! RYMXC looks forward to another successful and fun season in 2010 with lots of exciting things happening. The talented brothers Ben and Nathan Watson will be riding with us for some of their season and also the Edmondson brothers Jack and Harry along with their dad World Champion Enduro Rider Paul Eddy and of course the multi talented Lee Eddy and much more!! RYMXC held Round 9 of the Club Championship on Sunday 4th October along side the Welsh at the Moelfre Track Nr Rhayader. Moelfre Track was looking good and superbly prepared for some very exciting racing indeed! With the Little Auto Pilots out the gate first it was full swing ahead with Jamie Evans 'The Javelin' getting out the gate very well trying to hold off the 'The Rocket' No 10 Ryan Rowlands! But, The Rocket is not to be messed with and soon pushed the button to blast off with 3 race wins under his belt. The Javelin kept his riding level high all day and was flying round the taking 3 second place wins, both boys showing tremendous ability. The surprise in the Auto group was the ever improving 'Fast Eddy Hazbow' Harry Edmondson who was travelling in great style with some very quick lines. Haz-bow took home 3 third places which was his best result to date in the club championship finishing in a brilliant third overall! Iwan Mills is just getting quicker and is carrying allot more speed with some fantastic jumping which left him fourth overall in the days results. Iwan was closely battling with Brave Ben Evans, Billy Jones and Archie Collier and all 4 boys rode extremely well all testing each with positions changing in every race! Girl power was very strong in the Autos with No 2 Abby Thomas having another consistent day bringing home the high scores, with Olivia Walton and Shauna hope not far behind giving their all! Junior racing was full of drama as Ieuan Morgan and Alex Walton really put on a display for the spectators and pushed each other to the edge (and me) with some spectacular riding and battled hard all day. The third race of the day was the most intense I have seen for a long time with Al and Ieu neck and neck and they both came off not far from each other but it was Ieu who passed the chequered flag first to get the win and a huge smile on his face (and his granddads)!! Ieu took first overall with 2 seconds and a first! Wild Will Jones had a awesome day with some excellent starts and just kept trucking and powering out of the corners taking a strong second in race 3 of the day. Alex settled for a very pleasing third after a unlucky third race where he had to push his bike around part of the track to get his points! Kieron 'Smiler' Mills was riding exceptionally well getting 2 third places and a very strong fourth in race two. Girl power was certainly the case for rider 117 Hannah Pickersgill and she sorted the boys out on the start that's for sure, with some very good lines and good style finishing in fifth overall. Callum Evans upped his game and it was great to see him back on his bike after breaking his wrist not that long ago. Callum battled with Rhys Roberts and Dylan Leach all day and all three boys really challenging hard with some brilliant racing, Callum and Rhys ending up on joint points with Dylan just one point behind! Connor Freil rode very well and always pushes himself and is just getting quicker and quicker powering up the hills. Joel Hughes in the Inter-85 Small Wheel race didn't have it all his own way, with the powerful Sonny Parker taking the first race win with great courage and Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson taking the second race win with shear guts and determination. Kieron Cooke had a brilliant day to with 2 third places carrying a lot of speed into the corners. But it was Joel who kept his cool and took first overall with some very exciting races for the crowd. Jack Edmondson having a superb result on his new small-wheel and letting everyone know he means business in a fantastic second place. Sonny just 2 points behind Jack in an outstanding third and Cookie settling for a very strong fourth. Connor Clewett just gets faster and faster and is showing great confidence and awesome strength, with Rhys Roberts not far behind always on a mission. Kairon Watkins is always trying and never gives up a fight and really enjoyed the Moelfre, while Krya Pickersgill was another girl amongst the boys and oh boy did she flow round the track with great ease. RYMXC 's very own dancer Bradley Eve battled on and seemed to love the track and enjoying every minute of it and is improving all the time with some very good lines. Well done boys and girls some very exciting racing and all of you pushing the boundaries!! The Inter-Open Big Wheel group was just as crazy with 2009 National Champion Jay Thomas on the line putting on a delightful show, he is so, so quick you hardly see him!! Jay took home maximum points in great style and always rode every race to his full potential. But it was Ryan 'Raving' Waters who was a star showing great signs of improvement out of the corners and looking so smooth around the whole track taking 3 second places and really using his head to chequered flag. There were lots of battles going on in this group and positions changed in every race with 141 Danny Morris taking to thirds in races 1 and 2 and ending up in a outstanding third place overall showing he hasn't lost it, with Jamie Webb pressurising all the time just behind Danny. It is great to see Jamie riding so well he has had a great season so far and is just getting quicker finishing Fourth overall. Ben Francis came in a very good fifth place after recovering from a hand injury but still completed the days racing at a easy space. Billy Johnson had a unlucky first race with bike problems but that did not deter him at all. Hannah Hope and Sam Newell RYMXC Team Event members both battled hard, with William Griffin having his first ever race and did very well indeed! Ollie Paine was riding in a class of his own which we haven't seen for a while and was really pulling out all the stops absolutely charging round the track at full speed ahead. Ollie won all 3 races of the day with ease but trying to catch him was No 46 David Lloyd and oh-boy can this man travel when he needs too, taking home a second place in race 1 and two thirds in races 2 and 3 finishing in second place overall. The lovely Gareth Hughes had a brill day and looked so comfortable out on the track and seemed to up his game finishing in third overall with a good strong first race! Adam Morris was so unlucky with bike problems in race 1 which he did not need but he picked himself up and battled on to take second place in races 2 and 3 with some outstanding riding and made it nail-biting stuff! Ad settled for a fourth place overall while Luke Morgan took home fifth place after some very good battles out on track. Dean Plumstead and Daryl Prisk were also very close on points just 3 in fact in 6th & 7th positions which they should be very pleased with. What can I say about the AMX it was very interesting indeed with positions changing all the time which made for some very exciting racing, especially as some of the riders are over the hill now (yes Hopey and Cubby I mean you) ha ha ha!!!! The Cool Chris Morris rode the best I have seen all season and battled with the young Rhys Jones who wasn't hanging around for anyone. Chris and Rhys battled head to head for most of the day, but it was the more mature rider Chris who just took the top spot in first! Rhys was very pleased with his second overall while Jonathan 'Travis' Evans took second in race two and snatched the win in race 3 to his surprise after really pushing himself to the edge! Chris 'Cubby' Price was the star for me in race 1 he pasted the flag in third position and the crowd went mad!! Cubby finished a very good fourth place and his secret was 6 shredded wheat!!!! Gerwyn Exon wasn't far behind in a satisfying fifth and told me that next time he is going to try cubby's secret but told me not to tell anyone ooooops!! Sorry Gerwyn it slipped out. It was good to see Gareth Rowlands back on his bike and I am sure he will be picking up some tips from his nephew 'The Rocket' whenever possible! RYMXC would like to thank all riders, marshals and everyone who helped to take down the track. Briony Walton and Rachel Lutty for selling raffle tickets and everyone who bought a ticket. Special thanks go to Mr Byron Jones of the Moelfre Track for his support during the past season. Our next meeting is on 18th October 2009 at Penbryncennau Track and also Tickets are now on sale for the Presentation Evening on the 7th November 2009 via the RYMXC Club phone. Thank you very much! 'RYMXC' Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held the Final Round of the BSMA Welsh Championships 2009 on Sunday 4th October at Moelfre Track Nr Rhayader. With a light drizzle in the morning, then clearing to make perfect racing conditions the scene was set! This was one of the most exciting rounds up to date with lots of action and drama as the riders tried to pull out all the stops to gain the best points possible, with some absolutely incredible racing and battles which the spectators loved. Ashley Smith organised the Auto group on the line first with Joe Walton in the 'dog house' dropping the gate and what a brilliant job they did! Flying out the gate in the Autos was 'The Javelin' Jamie Evans pushing hard with the rest of the field following but it wasn't long and the master himself Ryan Rowlands 'The Rocket' took control riding yet again in a class of his own and driving hard all the way to the chequered flag to be crowned 2009 BSMA Welsh Champion, so well done Ryan! The Javelin finished in an outstanding second place and is just getting quicker and quicker, with local Rhayader boy Brave Ben Evans taking home a very proud third postion after pushing himself all the way! Iwan Mills and Archie Collier battled all day with Ben and both rode very well with Iwan finishing in fourth and Archie in fifith in the championship. The spectators were given a treat in the Junior racing with Alex 'Bubba' Walton and the ever improving Ieuan Morgan side by side in very race which made great entertainment (not for me and Ieu's mum, we were having kittens) for all watching up on the bank. Both riders pushed and tested each other to the limit and the last race of the day was the most tense race with Ieu in the lead and Al piling on the pressure with the crowd going mad! So well done boys that was some outstanding racing and thats what it is all about. It was Alex who was crowned BSMA Junior Champ with Ieuan in a very proud second. Kieron Mills had a very good day and was just getting stronger and stronger especailly over the jumps and with great delight ended up on the podium in third position. Iwan Roberts was very consistent with his points and it certainly paid off to finish in a outstanding fourth with lots of confidence and Connor Freil was just getting better and better with some very good lines and finished in the top five. There was some extremely quick boys on the line in the Small-Wheel group all getting out the gate very well and setting the pace! But it was Joel Hughes who was crowned 2009 Inter-85 Champion. With determination and great effort Joel rode hard all day and never gave up the fight always pushing forward as he was tested. Sonny Parker took second place overall in the championship with an outstanding display for the spectators as usual and took the first race win of the day in great style! Connor Clewett has had an amence season so far and is just improving all the time. Connor carrys great speed in and out of the corners and can really pull out all the stops when it matters to finish in a very confident third place. Kiaron Watkins is riding alot more confidently and it really paid off with a very impressive fourth overall which has really given him a boost and a very proud grandad indeed! Topping off the top five is the very determined Rhys Roberts who was over the moon to collect fifth place trophy after riding very, very well and has great ability. We have been very honoured to have No 74 Jay Thomas (above) BSMA National Big Wheel 2009 Champion riding all the Welsh Rounds with us and were extremely pleased when hard working club chairman Christian Walton presented Jay with the winning trophy for 2009 BSMA Inter-Open Welsh Champion! Jay rode out of his skin all day to put on a real show for everyone taking all three race wins and riding in a class of his own, so well done Jay you have had outstanding season and we wish all the best for next season and look forward to seeing you next year. Close on his tail was the ever sweet Ryan Waters who is just getting quicker and quicker and had some amazing starts out the gate to set himself up for nice clear run round the fast flowing track taking home 3 second places throughout the day finishing up in second overall in the championship and standing very tall up on the podium! Danny Morris has ridden very well throughout the Welsh rounds and fully deserved to take third overall with some outstanding riding and he certainly knows how to get the spectators going as he battled with Jamie Webb and Ben Francis who both were riding on the edge, Jamie taking fourth and Ben in fifth.
The oldies were out in force with the ever so cool Chris Morris becoming 2009 Welsh AMX Champion absloutley riding on the edge with some fantastic lines and powering down the ski jump like spiderman but without the muscles (only joking chris)!!! It was very close between Jonathan 'Travis' Evans and Wyn 'sexy' Hope just 1 point in it, with Jonathan taking second place and Wyn in a very proud third! Just goes to show that there is life in the old boys yet (ha ha ha)! Chris 'cubby' Price flew round the track in third position in race one and he told me he had 6 shredded wheat for his breakfast earlier that morning and finished in a very pleasing fourth just seven points behind third place. Our lovely Adam Rees pushed himself and rode very well all day trying to catch the front runners to finish in the top five. RYMXC would like to thank all riders, parents and marshals for supporting the club. Thank you to Joe Walton, Ashley Smith and Dyaln Mcphee for controling the starts and the timing and everyone who helped in anyway! Especially Mr Byron Jones for the Moelfre Track and for supporting the club. AUTOS: 1-RYAN ROWLANDS, 2-JAMIE EVANS, 3-BEN EVANS, 4-IWAN

Rhayader Youth Motocross Club 'RYMXC' held Rounds 7 and 8 of the Club Championships at the newly 'revamped' Neuadd Track nr Pen-y-bont on 29th & 30th August 2009 with kind permission from Mr Ray Collard and Family. With fantastic support from their ever loyal RYMXC club members and not forgetting the famous spectators it was a very enjoyable weekend with some outstanding racing! Once again Mr Ray Collard had been working extremely hard prior to the event preparing the track by adding jumps and berms which made the track extra special for the 2-days. After rain on Friday evening Saturday morning's practice laps were slightly slippery in places but it soon dried up with dry weather all day and a little breeze to dry the surface and Sunday bringing a light rain and higher wind. AMX hit the gate first and what a line up with World Enduro Champion Paul Edmondson riding on Saturday and his multi-talented brother lovely Lee 'Stanley' Edmondson. 4 out 6 wholeshots went to 'Wholeshot Hopey' Wyn Hope who proved he's not to be messed with out the gate! Back in the saddle on Saturday was Steve Collard who surprised us all as he absolutely flew around the track and everyone was asking who's that man?? The results went on 2-days riding (6 races in total) and first position went to Stanley who made it look very easy, with a fantastic result for Number 70 Tom Owen in second place who just pushed hard both days carrying great speed and is very a good rider indeed. Local rider Jonathan Evans had a very pleasing third place while Gerwyn Exon ended up fourth battling with each other and testing the pace as Hopey tried hard to hunt them down. The Senior class was a tough one with a very strong line-up but it was Rhys Jones who took the win riding out of his skin and showing great fitness in first overall but David Lloyd and Adam Morris also had a great weekend both riding on the edge, with David taking second place and Awesome Adam settling for third. Gareth Hughes had the most consistent ride and was never far behind as he rode smooth and save it certainly paid off to finish in fourth position! But it was Oliver Paine who was the unlucky one with gear-box failure on day one but it didn't stop him and he kept trucking with such ability to finish in the top five! Inter-Open class was next and there were a few stars in this group over the 2-days, all of them pushing hard to make the grade! Biily Johnson wore the crown after upping his game keeping cool and working hard throughout the weekend and he fully deserved it. Second place went to the ever improving Jamie Webb who had at least 6 shredded wheat for his breakfast. Jamie looked like he loved the fast track and put everything into his racing stepping up a gear from the previous meeting, so look out coz Jamie's about!! Sam Mumford had a strong third overall finish and jumped very well with Sam Newell not far behind in a very proud fourth overall. Topping off the top five was local lady rider Hannah Hope who was very surprised to find out she got fifth place trophy and had some excellent starts all weekend. Inter-85 was a very large group and had some very quick boys in it but it was Joel Hughes who finished in first place overall after pulling out all the stops to gain a good strong lead which certainly paid off. Joel was absolutely awesome over the jumps and showed some outstanding riding as usual. The next three riders were very close and their positions changed throughout the races which made it very exciting with Sonny Parker powering up the hills with great guts and Kieron Cooke having a brilliant ride in third trying to take the fast lines and Jack Edmondson working hard to prove he has got what it takes and he certainly did to finish in fourth! Connor Clewett just flew round the track and looked amazing carrying great speed and more determined than ever in fifth position overall. Alex Walton took maximum points over the weekend riding in a class of his own and forgot to put his bike into gear on the line in race 2 on Sunday and said 'it was a bit dopey of me mum'!! William Jones was back on form taking second place overall after some very quick starts and was just flying over the jumps while Ieuan Morgan settled for a excellent overall third place. Ieu and Will battled in all 6 races and it was nail-biting stuff especially for both families watching from afar with everyone showing great sportsmanship afterwards! Kieron Mills took home a very pleasing fourth place and was looking very good carrying very high speeds over the jumps, while Jac Rhys Jones made the top five and really deserved it after pushing himself to the limit and a very proud mum! Well I didn't see the Rocket Ryan Rowland's shut-off at all while powering around the Auto track, his mother must have had kittens! The Rocket was definitely in a class of his own and certainly loves to jump taking maximum points over the weekend and got 10 out 10 for his dance moves to!! Jamie 'Javelin' Evans was carrying great speed and made it look very easy especially up the massive hill to take second overall with Harry Smith, Harry Edmondson and Declan Roden all battling behind the Javelin showing they mean business but he made them work for it! Harry Smith took a fantastic third overall while Harry Eddy took home a very proud fourth both showing such style and ability. Declan took fifth with a strong confident ride as usual and never gives up. RYMXC would like give special thanks to Mr Ray Collard and Family, Sam Lloyd and Ian Plumstead for staying on their posts for 2-days!!, All Marshals and Ian Mcphee for selling raffle tickets, everyone who helped run the event so smoothly, all lap scorers, and everyone who helped put the track up and take down the track - your support is greatly appreciated thank you very much! 5-DECLAN RODEN Report By Mrs Hayley Walton
RYMXC Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held Round 5 of the Club Championships on Sunday 21st June 2009 at Neuadd Track, Pen-y-bont, Nr Llandrindod Wells. The completely revapped track was absolutely awesome with new table tops, up-hill jumps, bomb-holes and one massive downhill jump, thanks to the hard work of Mr Ray Collard. RYMXC are hoping to hold a Round of the BSMA Nationals at this fast flowing track next year, which would be excellent for the club and the riders would love it! So, with perfect weather conditions the Seniors hit the gate first with the incrediable Oliver Paine and Adam Morris neck and neck in the first race, with Adam leading for the first four laps, but all change as Paine took control to sort out Morris who just missed out on the win! Both riders really put on a show for their fans who were going crazy (well me anyway), with Paine taking all three race wins and Morris taking 3 second places both riding in a class of their own! Paine and Morris both loved the revapped track and said the new jumps and longer laps were very testing but great to ride! Local lad Gareth Hughes had a very strong and consistent days racing finishing in third overall and jumping as cool as a cucumber looking very comfortable. While Dean Plumstead rode out of his skin, Plumstead had an unlucky fall on the first lap of race one but came from second to last to finish in a rewarding fourth place! Watch out boys Plumstead is going very well and he means business! Plumstead and the polite Spencer Eve pushed each other all day but race two was the most exciting as they pushed to the chequered flag neck and neck with Plumstead just having the edge, both lads showing great sportsmanship afterwards. Spencer looked like he really enjoyed the fast track and he certainly worked hard in every race, jumping with ease! Daryl Prisk got stuck in the action and had a brillant fourth place in race three and rode very strong all day carrying great speed. With 3 out of 3 whole-shots the experienced Handy Andy Watkins was on fire!! Watkins was very handy indeed around the huge track and tested Lee 'Stanley' Edmondson all day never giving an inch! Watkins lead til last lap in race one and just missed out on the win as Stanley just took the chequered flag! Race three was even more exciting as Watkins made a mistake on one of the top corners Stanley made the move to take quite a big lead but Watkins was having none of it and caught and passed Stanley to take the win!! Both riders were fantastic to watch and made it look very easy (i bet they were knackered though)? Cool Chris Morris was out on his own most of the time taking home 3 third positions. Cool Chris pushed himself all day showing a high level of fitness for an old one and was outstanding over the jumps!! Fourth overall went to local rider Jonathan Evans who was pushed by the ever quick Gerwyn Exon in race 1 as positions changed all the time but it was Evans's determination that followed through just in front. Both Evans and Exon loving the conditions and certainly showed a much quicker performance than pervious meetings, both suited to the fast track and down hills! Sexy Wyn Hopey Hope took home sixth overall and had the edge over Evans and Exon in race 2 holding them off on every corner but it was Evans yet again who just passed his brother-in-law on the last lap!!! The Inter-Open group was very close indeed but it was fast boy Hywel 'Millsy' Mills who took home first position with 2 firsts and a second place. Millsy had not ridden his bike for 5 weeks and was pushed by Ryan 'Raver' Waters and Bad Boy Billy Johnson in race 1 and it was very close until the ever talented Ben Francis leached on to the front pack with an incrediable ride to take home second place, sorting out both Waters and Johnson, while Millsy took the flag!! All four riders having the race of the lives and carrying great speed. But it sadly all changed for Ben in race two, as he had a bad fall and hurt the top of his leg very badly and couldnt complete the days racing, so we wish Ben a quick recovery. Waters went on to just take the win from Millsy in race three, with Johnson taking home 3 third places. Danny Morris finished in a very fast fourth, while Sam Newell got a excellent fifth place and Rhian George in sixth. Hannah Hope just missing out on a top six finish as she tried hard to chase down Rhian, both girls riding very well! Out next was the Inter-85 group who never fail to impress us with number 15 Joel 'Joker' Hughes getting out the gate first in all three races showing them who's boss! Joel was in a class of his own riding very, very well and everyone loved watching him ride. He was on fire over the jumps, clearing them with great height and enjoying every minute of it! The Joker took home three race wins and hunting him down was the brillant and exciting rider Sonny Parker who is so determined to do his best in every race taking home 3 second places. Third position went to the ever improving Connor Clewett who is just getting quicker and quicker and fully deserved his points, with Rhys Roberts getting his best result to date in a fantastic fourth positions and a huge smile on his face! Fifth position overall went to Cool Customer Kiaron Watkins who had been in hospital previous week and was riding very well and carrying alot more speed (i would like to know what Mr Watkins gave his grandsons for breakfast, so i can give Christian some before he rides the Welsh 2 Day this week)!!! A brillant sixth went to Jack Newell who seemed to just love the track and was cornering very well. Adelaide Watkins and Krya Pickersgill pushed each other hard all day and ended up on joint points, both showing good style and fast lines! In the Juniors it was the ever smooth Alex 'Bubba' Walton who just looked effortless up the hills and took home three race wins with ease. Bubba got all 3 whole-shots but it was Ieuan Morgan that shocked everyone as he kept close on Bubba's tail in race 3, pushing hard all the way. It was Morgan's best display for the crowd yet and everyone is talking about him and what he had for breakfast? Morgan had been in hospital all last week with heat exhaustion and the rest certainly did him good as he took 3 seconds places - WELL DONE IEU! Wild Will Jones powered out the gate well with some amazing starts and carried great speed on the corners and rode alot smoother and took home third place overall. Wild Will battled hard with best friend Kieron 'Smiler' Mills who pulled out all the stops to catch Wild Will to finish in a outstanding fourth, while 'The Brookster' Brooklyn Evans tried so hard to catch Wild Will and Smiler with an brillant Fourth in race one. Jac Rhys-Jones went very well round the huge track and was jumping with great ease and was over the moon with a top six finish after working hard. After being unable to ride for 6 weeks after a bad accident it was 'The Rocket' Ryan rowlands who back on winning form taking all three race wins. The Rocket gave it all he could and absolutly destoryed the track with some great action, but a mistake cost 'The Rocket the start in race three as he flipped the bike over giving the ever powerful Jamie Evans 'The Javelin' the opportunity to get out infront and with some very good lines held The Rocket off for 2 confident laps with shear determination! The Javelin took home second overall in the Auto group while Harry 'Cheeky Chap' Edmondson rode in a style of his own taking 3 fantastic third positons throughout the day, he is great to watch! Iwan mills was very proud of his fourth postion overall, he just powered round the track with great ability! Fifth place went to local rider Brave Ben Evans who was really carrying some speed and pushed Millsy and Billy Jones hard all day! Billy Jones is certainly one to look out for finishing in a outstanding sixth place, all riders trying very hard! RYMXC would like to thank all riders, marshals and fans for turning out to support their club! And specia thanks go to Mr Ray Collard and family for all their hard work and support. Rhayader Youth Motocross Club (RYMXC) held the Fourth Round of the Club Championships at Moelyfre Track, St Harmon Nr Rhayader on Sunday 31st May 2009. There had been a few alterations made to the track with the Ski jump being moved back slightly and an extra jump added to the lower part of the course which made for perfect racing conditions!! The spectators came out in force, too support their favourite riders which just added to the brilliant family atmosphere. Out the gate first were the fast boys and girls in the Auto Group with the famous 'Javelin' Jamie Evans powering round the track showing everyone he means business, making the jumps look easy taking all three race wins with a very proud smile on his face! Battling all day were good friends Harry 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson and local rider Ben 'Blazing' Evans who both pushed hard all day and certainly have improved taking some very good lines. Fourth and Fifth positions were totally girl power only with Abby Thomas and Olivia Walton both challenging the boys on the fast bends and gaining more speed each lap, while Tobias Moore finished in a brilliant sixth overall. Juniors were on form as usual with Alex 'Bubba' Walton piling on the pressure out the start-gate and taking all three race wins riding very well, while Wild Will Jones and Ieuan Morgan pushed each other to the limit! Wild Will finished in a fantastic second overall with Ieuan just two points behind in third, Ieuan having his best result to date and a very proud grandad!! Joe Cadwallader took a very strong fourth overall and Jac Rhys-Jones rode well to finish in a great fifth. Callum Evans lifted his game to take a brilliant sixth overall riding with great confidence. Iwan Roberts pulled out all the stops riding very well, while it was good to see Dyaln Leach back in the saddle after a scary crash at the previous event. 'The Joker' Joel Hughes sorted everyone out in the Small-Wheel 85's with three whole-shots and three race wins riding in a class of his own not to be touched by anyone! Sonny Parker has great guts and determination and it paid off with two second places and a fourth to finish in second overall. Joshua Canton put in a good days work carrying great speed finishing in thrid, while Conner Clewett rode out of skin to finish in fourth. Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson had an unlucky third race after a bad crash but got back on to finish the race, Jade Farley took a brilliant sixth position overall after some amazing riding. Jack Newell, Kyra Pickersgill and Bradley Eve all rode extremely well and seemed to love the track all work hard in the heat. Well what can i say about Ryan 'Raver' Waters who wore the crown in the Inter-Open group absolutely brilliant and rode cool, calm and collected throughout the day and with a very, very proud dad!! Ryan had a second and two first positions and oh-boy did he deserve them, he's a lovlely a little chap!! (sorry Rya) Billy Johnson pushed hard and made no mistakes this time to take a superb second overall with some good positive starts and pushed Daniel Griffiths to his limit Billy just taking second overall by two points but Daniel settled for a fantastic third position overall. Jack French was riding on the edge all day with some outstanding riding pushing Ben Francis who had a brilliant fourth in race two and finished in fifith overall. 'The Squrriel' Rhian George certainly is not to be messed with had some outstanding starts to take home sixth overall. I have never seen such amazing and nail biting racing in my life in Senior group it was anybodies and they certainly delivered some live action for the crowd! No 6 Joe Price took home first position overall after having a 1st, 3rd, 2nd and riding on the edge and pushing all the way past the chequered flag. Two points behind Joe was the ever Awesome Adam Morris who came out that gate first in race three and held off Joe right too the flag (I couldn't watch it was nerve racking stuff)! Both putting on a great show for the spectators and proving a good start is what you need! The ever talented Oliver Paine was just two points behind second place and really rode very well taking some very quick lines and showed everyone hows its done to take home third. Luke Morgan took home fourth overall with great strength, while Rhys Jones and Gareth Hughes both rode brilliantly all day, Rhys had fifith and Gareth sixth. Lee Edmondson was very strong in the AMX racing taking all three race wins but was pushed by Charlie 'Angels' Evans who just missed out on the win in race two because he left the door open on the last corner!! Andy Watkins had 3rd, 3rd, 2nd to finish in a very pleasing third position overall showing the youngsters how it should be done! Cool Chris Morris settled for fourth overall after trying hard and using some very fast lines, while Gethin Price and Jonathan Evans battled - with Gethin just getting the upper hand in the last race. RYMXC would like to thank everyone who marshalled and supported them. See you soon! RYMXC (Rhayader Youth Motocross Club) held the Third Club Championship and First BSMA Welsh Champion Rounds at Cwmithig Track Near Rhayader on Sunday 26th April 2009. The track had been completely graded before hand and a new jump added to the fast track for that extra challenge! With perfect weather conditions and full support from the World's top riders everyone had a great day with the best racing to date for RYMXC! Paul T.L.P. Evans and Rob Hughes were in charge of the gate and what a brilliant job they did. Out the gate first were the ever improving Autos and it was the 'The Rocket' Ryan Rowlnads who proved yet again he is so, so fast pulling away from the rest of the field with great ease. The Rocket took all three race wins in a class of his own after having a very busy weekend racing and just has an incrediable talent for the motocross circuit. Second overall went to the cheeky chap Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans who pushed harder and harder in every race and it paid off but Jamie was being chased down in race one by three fast boys behind him Harry 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson and local riders Brave Ben Evans and Iwan 'Hard Man' Mills. Number 11 Billy Jones had a good day finishing in 6th place overall riding with great confidence.
The Senior group for me was full of nutters, I have never seen such racing in this group before it was anybodies! Number 41 Ryan Thomas took home the crown in this group. Ryan is a very talented motocross rider and it certainly showed after scopping up two wins and a third, Ryan did'nt always have it his own way and had to work hard as riders Adam 'Smooth' Morris and Gerwyn Pritchard piled on the pressure. Oliver Paine took home a first position and a second but had a bad third race which cost him alot of points! The lovely Gareth Hughes also had a great day to finish in a strong fifth and Spencer Eve took sixth overall.

MILLS 5-BEN EVANS 6-BILLY JONES Photos: Keith Bowen MX247 'HATTY' HAS GREAT SUPPORT' Report By Mrs Hayley Walton RYMXC held the first ever Hare 'n' Hounds sanctioned by BSMA at Saints Well Track Bwlchysaranu near Rhayader on Saturday 18th April 2009. It was a fund raising event held for 'Hatty Nicholls Communication Aid Fund'. Hatty has cerebalpalsy and needs a 'Advantage Lite' Laptop so she can commuincate with school friends and use during her lessons and the £1300 raised will go to help Hatty purchase her special laptop. RYMXC and Hatty would like to thank Mr & Mrs Brian Rees of Saints Well track for giving the use of the track free of charge and James Rees Catering for his generous donation. St.johns Ambulance gave their services and K & S Toilet Hire Rhayader were also free of charge. The top three in each class were given trophies which were sponsored by the following people:- Rob Hughes Engineering, Ian Mcphee Painter and Decorater, Rhayader Blades Barbers Shop, Rose & Paul Mills, Christian & Hayley Walton. As usual the RYMXC Committe pulled out all the stops, so a great big thank-you goes to everyone who helped in anyway at all. The lap consisted of the motocross track and then went off road into the forest and wooded sections which were quite hard going after the rain from the previous day. So with a slightly slippery start to the day the Youth class started the days racing and what a treat we were in for with local rider Ryan Evans in the Seniors getting off to a flying start leading the way. But not far off Ryan's tail and pushing hard was Robert Jerwood who managed to take the lead after the first full circuit and lead throughout his race. Robert finished in first position in senior group and overall, with Ryan settling for an outstanding second in the senior group. Ryan Nicholls took home third in the seniors and was very pleased with his first ever ride in a Hare 'n' Hounds event! Ryan Waters had an amazing event and his riding ability really shone through in the Inter-85 group after taking the win of the day in his class. Ryan was threatened by local rider Hywel Mills who put in a huge fight to claim a good postion and he certainly delivered in style taking second place, with 'girl-power' Rhain George taking an excellent third. Rhian was challenged by Hannah Hope, both girls really enjoying the course and dealing with the conditions very well. In the Small-85's it was Jack Edmondson who was a little star taking the win of the day but not without ups and downs as Jack's bike kept stalling. Jack lost the lead at the halfway point to the ever talented Adam James but seemed to claw it back just in time! Adam James finished in a very strong and dertermined second in his group, with Luke Rudd taking third with an excellent ride. The Junior group was dominated by the ever cool Alex Walton who lead from the start rising to the challaege and enjoying every minute to finish in a very proud first. Wild William Jones seem to love his first ever Hare 'n' Hounds riding to the limit and dealing with the tricky conditions very well to finish in second place, with the strong Kieron Mills taking third after a fantastic ride and proving hes not to be messed with! After a nice long lunch break (not for me) the Adult classes hit the course. There were two groups in the adluts:- Clubman and Expert and oh boy did they put on a show!! Both groups had a longer and more challenging course to deal with, committee members Butch and Charlie put in a very difficult tyre section which was very entertaining for the lap scorers!! RYMXC was fortunate to have the presence of World Champion Enduro rider Paul Edmondson and younger brother Lee Edmondson who put on a brilliant show for the spectators to watch in the expert class. Paul finished in first overall with Lee not far behind in an excellent second both pushing each other hard and never giving up the fight! Tim Foreman rode extremely well and kept a fast pace all the way round to finish in third in the expert group. The Clubman group was full of some very talented riders and proving himself was local rider Jonathan Evans taking first. Jonathan was very strong from start to finish and enjoyed the long circuit. Marc Evans (Pantydwr) had a very rapid and consistent ride pushing hard all the way round to finish in second in the Clubman group. Mark Evans (Abbey) took a very impressive third and powered round the course with a great result. A special thank you goes to Hatty and her Family for presenting all the trophies and supporting the riders allday. Everyone really enjoyed the day and showed great support for Hatty, we hope she can buy her laptop sooner rather than later. Thank you!! With a frosty start too the day Rhayader Youth Motocross Club 'RYMXC' held their second round of the Club Championships and BSMA Qualifer at Cymithig track nr Rhayader. The track was looking very good after being fully rotoviated for perfect racing conditions. The sun came out and so did all the 'RYMXC' supporters making it a super day for all. In the Adult Open class Lee Edmondson came out on top with the overall win after having some fantastic starts and winning the first two races, but Charlie Evans snatched the whole-shot in the third race and passed the chequered flag first with Lee chasing hard just behind! Cool Chris Morris and Jason Rowlands battled all day both carrying great speed, but it was Wyn Hope who seemed to have the edge out the gate with some very strong starts to finish fifth overall. Oliver Paine took three wins in the Senior class riding out of his skin. Adam morris and Gareth Hughes were fighting hard for second position overall, Adam just taking it by two points Gareth settling for a well deserved third in the end. Spencer Eve is just getting quicker and quicker and finished in a very confident fourth, while Rees Davies took a good fifth. The first race was nail bitting stuff in the Inter-Open class with Hywel Mills and Mathew Rees side by side with half a wheel in it passing the chequered flag but it was Millsy who did the lap of honour! Millsy taking three awesome wins riding on the edge. Mathew had gearbox problems all day but still took second over all. Ryan Waters claimed a very strong second place in race three to finish in third overall. Ben Francis rode extremely well and the ever improving Jamie Webb took a brillant fifth! In the Small Wheel 85's it was Jack Edmondson who seem to like it out in front on his KTM 65 and he was certainly on a mission! But Joel Hughes didnt let Jack stay out in front for long and as usually was Mr Wholeshot man all day and took three race wins in great style. Jack finished in a very impressive second overall and Adam James took a well deserved third after working hard. First tme out on a 85 was talent Luke Craig who took fourth and while Kieron Cooke settled for fifth. The juniors were next and Alex Walton was the winner taking one second place and two firsts, taking home a brillant result. Alex was pushed by riders William Poutney and local boy William Jones both pushing hard and having some strong starts. Kieron Mills had his best result to date finishing in a very fast fourth powering hard round the track. Brooklyn Evans took fifth and was pushed all day by Jac Rhys Jone having a great day in sixth. Ryan rowlands was on a mission in the Auto group and showed everyone he means business taking three race wins. The strong Jamie Evans looked good out on the track finishing in second overall, with Harry Edmondson taking a good confident third after battling with local rider Ben Evans. Archie Collier showed big improvement carrying alot more speed with some good lines, while girl power Abbey Thomas rode consistantly all day to take sixth position. Well done to everyone who competed. RYMXC would like to thank everyone who marshalled and came to support the riders. RYMXC held their first round at Cymithig track near Rhayader on Sunday 1st march 2009 and what great support they had. With perfect conditions it was time to drop the gate and the riders certainly delivered! Girl power was the key in the Autos on Sunday with Abbey Thomas, Olivia Walton and Shauna Hope simply flying round the smooth track. Abbey pushing local rider Ben Evans all the way. Jamie Evans had bike problems in the second race but still kept cool. The star of the show was Ryan ' The Rocket' Rowlands who was on a mission taking all three race wins carrying amazing speed. Alex Walton had a crash in race one but came back to pass the chequered flag in first position after pushing himself hard against the ever talented Wild Will Jones who showed great guts. The Brooskster Brooklyn Evans pushed Wild Will all the way in race two and it was a very close call to the finish. Brookster crashed in race three but still came back to battle against Kieron Mills at the finish line! Joel Hughes was the domiant rider in the small wheel 85's and had two fantastic whole-shots out the gate which filled him with confidence. Adam 'ET James' finished in a very good second plce overall with Sonny Parker having a brilliant second race. Cheeky Charlie Price and Cool Connor Clewett both did extremely well having their first ride on a 85. Hywel Mills had two very strong wins in races two and three. Hywel and Ryan Waters battled hard in race one pushing each other to the limit, Ryan just taking the win by a wheel length at the chequered flag! Ben Francis had a excellent day finishing in a very strong third overall. Unlucky Billy Johnson just missed third overall by two points and rode very well allday. Oliver Pain was the champ in the big-wheel 85's having a very strong ride in races one and two but Adam Morris tried to sort him out in race three but Oliver had none of it! Gareth Hughes had a excellent day finishing in a very close third, while Spencer Eve finished in a very good fourth. Chris Morris was out in front on his own most of the time with an amazing ride but Jason Rowlands wasn't far behind him and has been training out in USA and was much improved. Wyn Hope and Chris 'Cubby' Price battled hard in races three and four both going well for two oldies, Chris had a breakdown in the first race which was very unlucky! George Wozencraft had a very impressive days racing finishing in a good fourth overall. RYMXC would like to thank everyone who marshalled and helped in anyway. Rhayader Youth Motocross Club 'RYMXC' held their Annual Award Presentation Evening at Rhayader Leisure Centre on Saturday 1st November. With the scene set and the stage busting with trophies it was time for the children to meet special star guest Mr Shaun Simpson who is Factory KTM Rider, MX2 British Champion and World No 4! Shaun had flown especially down from Scotland for the evening and my goodness what a hit he was!! Shaun was absolutely fantastic with the kids and everyone made him feel very welcome and he really enjoyed the evening, especially having a few beers with me! Chairman Mr Christian Walton welcomed everyone and thanked a whole list of people which included the Track Owners, St. Johns Ambulance and Air Ambulance just to name a few! The lady committee members were thanked for all their hard work throughout the season and Shaun presented them with a beautiful bouquet of flowers each. Then compare for the evening was me, Hayley 'Bubba Bear' Walton who thanked all the male committee members for all the hard work and dedication they given to the club, which has made it a huge success this year. Shaun presented them all with a small gift. The 'BSMA Welsh' Awards were presented first by Shaun and up on stage came the Auto riders with some very proud grins on their faces! Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans stole the show in this category winning all three rounds with ease. Watch out for the 'Brookster' next season because he will be moving up into the juniors with his big-mate Alex 'Bubba ' Walton. Second overall was the outstanding Ryan 'The Rocket' Rowlands who rode out of his skin this year improving all the time, so watch this space for next season! Third went to the ever strong and powerful Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans who has got a great deal of determination! Then Shaun met the Junior boys, and wearing the crown in this line up was the astonishing Alex 'Bubba' Walton who proved he's not to be messed with, having a great season! Second overall was the unstoppable Wild Will Jones who showed amazing strength and guts throughout his season, having some great battles with best friend Bubba along the way! Third overall went to Cool Connor Clewett who just got quicker and quicker and tried so hard in every race and it certainly paid off. The incredible Ciran Williams took first place in the Inter-85 group and oh my goodness it was well deserved that's for sure, what a rider!! Second overall went to Ben Nicholls who ended with a great result after pushing himself hard during the three Welsh rounds. Local rider Hywel 'Millsy' Mills settled for a very strong third place overall showing fantastic ability and putting on a great display for the spectators. The awesome Aled Thomas (top left) was the king in the Inter-Open class winning all three Welsh rounds, what a marvellous rider and he's my favourite! Adam Morris 211 took an excellent second place trophy with ease, both Aled and Adam have shown tremendous talent and good sportsmanship. It was brilliant to see 'cool mover' Ryan Waters take third overall. Ryan has got quicker and quicker all season and pushed himself all the way. In the Seniors it was ever talented Dan Evans took home all three round wins in first overall with shearer guts and true enthusiasm. Second overall went to the ever fast Gareth Hughes who had a brill season, with Tom 'Farter' Nicholls taking home a very confident third place trophy. The 'Oldies' were on the stage last with Shaun and the 'Cool' Chris Morris was on the throne in this class by just two points, riding so well and getting faster as the season progressed. The lovely Luke Davies settled for an extremely strong second place and has never given up! Third overall went to Chris 'Wally' Walton with a brilliant ride for an old one!! (I have too many trophies in my house now)!!
Mick Simms Memorial Trophy 'Riders-Rider' is voted for by all the riders as they come into the awards on the night. And this year it went two extremely talented riders Mr Ben Evans of Rhayader and Mr Brooklyn Evans of Gwystre, so the boys are going to share the cup for six months each, and I know they had some very proud parents!!! Chloe Price Award 'Best Local Rider' goes on final championship results, within a 15 mile radius of Rhayader. Mr Chris 'Cubby' Price presented it along with Shaun and a very surprised Mr Cool Chris Morris won it, his face was a picture which was great to see! The evening was a great success with some excellent prizes in the raffles, everyone really enjoyed the night. RYMXC would like to thank everyone who rode and supported the club last, all the people who marshalled and helped when possible. And a HUGE thank you goes to Mr Keith Bowen for such fantastic photos and Mr Frank Morgan for the entertaining DVD's! With good dry conditions Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held Round 8 at St. Wells track near Bwlchysarnau on Sunday 14th September and a large crowd turned out to support the club. RYMXC were very lucky with the weather this time (for a change), there was a low mist in the morning but it soon cleared to bring out perfect conditions! Adults hit the gate first with Andy 'Superman' Watkins putting on a spectacular show flying round the track making it look effortless. On Superman's tail was the 'Angel' Charlie Evans who was awesome to watch, putting the lap-scorers on the edge of their seats as he corned with tremendous speed trying to reel in the front runner. Both riding in a class of their own, Andy had two wins and a second place, while Charlie got the win in race one and then had to settle for two seconds. Arriving late on the gate for race one was the Cool Chris Morris who always delivers for the crowds, pushing himself all the way to the chequered flag just taking third position overall by two points from the lovely Luke Davies both riding on the edge. Luke had the whole-shot in race one and loved the dry conditions but he was a bit unlucky on the day with a couple of falls, but seemed to hold on to the Championship lead with great style finishing in fourth overall. Sorting everyone out on the start was Matthew Hodges who really powered out the gate for a few laps but seemed to tire quickly as the top four pushed him hard, but took a well deserved third in race three and fifth overall, only two pints behind Luke. Battling all day were Wyn 'Sexy' Hope and Chris 'Cubby' Price and it was great to watch. Both riders not giving an inch as they pushed hard with good clean lines and some great racing, lets see if the two oldies can keep it going at the last round!!! Derry Knox seemed to up his game. I don't know what his mum cooked him for breakfast but it certainly did the trick, Derry was carrying great speed and was not to be messed with. The seniors were up next and what a bunch this lot are, with some great riders. King of the show this time was the incredible '105' Ryan James who is in full control of the whole track! Ryan took home three race wins in a classic style and was being chased down by the very unlucky Rhys Jones until he had a very nasty crash in race two and still rode in race three taking fifth, so we hope Rhys isn't aching too much! Finishing in a very strong second was Tom 'farter' Nicholls who had two third places and a second position riding very well and using his head. Lovely lad Gareth Hughes had a good consistent ride finishing in fourth overall and still leads the club championship at the moment! A very pleasing fifth place went to the polite Spencer Eve who really pulled out all the stops to sort out Elliot Friel and Aled Price, all putting on a great display for the crowd as their positions changed all the time. It was nice to see Luke Lucas in the top ten Luke upped his game and showed he's back on form. Lori Howe was unlucky in race one after a 'DNF' but soon proved himself taking second in race two and third in race three. Lee Barrington and Jake Nicholls battled all day but seemed to really enjoy the buzz of St. Wells and never gave up. Oh my goodness me have you ever seen anything like the 'Awesome' Alex Davies? Awesome Alex took the triple win in the Inter-Open group and was absolutely amazing to watch never shutting off on the corners, just completely pushing and driving hard on every lap! Awesome Alex is certainly an advert of how to ride you bike make sure you watch him next time boys and girls (and the oldies)!!! In second overall was my favourite Aled Thomas who had two third positions and a second place and as usual powering round the track like there's no tomorrow, with some outstanding riding and very quick lines as he tried to catch number '94'. 211 Adam Morris got the whole-shot twice and put Alex and Aled to sweat as he powered out the gate fighting all the time! Adam got two thirds and a second leaving him to take home a very proud third overall, only two points behind Aled. Corey White went very well and battled hard with Luke Morgan, both getting in the action as their positions changed all the time. Corey bet Luke by just two points in fourth overall and Luke settled for fifth. Sixth overall went to Rory Crisp who rode very confidently and pushed Ryan Waters and Ben Francis all the way. Shane Slatcher had an excellent ride and is just getting quicker and quicker. The strong Jody Amner just got the better of the fit Rhian George by two points, both showing great girl power up against the boys! The powerful Jordan Pyne had the win in the Inter-85 small wheel group having two wins and a second place in race three. Riding with fantastic strength Jordan is ever strong and always showed such ability as he put the group to chase him. In race three the talented Ben Nicholls did not give up the fight as he took the chequered flag just in front of Powerful Pyne with huge delight to end up second overall. Mr whole-shot man was Joel 'The Joker' Hughes and oh boy did he mean business out the gate. Joel had a brilliant second in race one and a third place in race three and rode extremely well all day as once again he proved to everyone he has great ability and is just getting better and better, finishing in third overall. Pushing hard was local rider Adam ET James who took a strong third in race two and piled the pressure on the mid pack showing a very good style taking fourth in the end. Fifth position went to Danny 'Haircut Boy' Morris who also had a very consistent day with some fast lines. It didn't seem to be a good day for the ever quick Hywel 'Millsy' Mills after a bad crash in race two and suffering with bad arm pump all day, but he still brought home some good points which is what matters. (So don't be so hard on yourself Mister). We hope the lovely Dan Craig is ok after a bad crash in practice which has left him badly bruised and sore on his lower back, everyone has been asking after you Dan! 'Cool Kid' Luke Craig was the master in the junior class and really dominated the whole day. Carrying great speed Luke took all three race wins with ease, riding in a class of his own. Alex 'Bubba' Walton had another good day with a third and two second positions to finish in second overall, after pulling his finger out in the last races! Wild Will Jones had some excellent starts and proved himself by taking second position in race one and is hot on the tail of Bubba all the time. Connor Clewett had a fantastic day and is growing in confidence taking two thirds in race one and two, with some very good riding after putting Bubba to sweat. Ieuan Morgan finished in a well deserved fifth overall after battling with Kieron 'Smiler' Mills and Cheeky Charlie Price all day. Smiler rode very well and pushed Wild Will in race two. Dylan Leach upped his game and had an excellent ride taking some very quick lines, while Adelaide Watkins really sorted the boys out and was brilliant over the jumps. 'Brookster' the speed machine Brooklyn Evans had a superb ride and was carrying tremendous speed taking all three race wins, taking home full points. 'The Rocket' Ryan Rowlands had second overall and really has improved so much and is really nailing his starts. Third overall went to the talented Iwan Roberts who is pushing hard at every event and riding very well indeed. Declan Rhoden and Jamie 'Javelin' Evans battled hard and finished on joint points but Declan had the better result in the last race to take fourth overall while the Javelin had to settle for fifth both riding extremely well. Local rider Ben Evans finished sixth overall with a good consistent ride while Iwan 'Fast boy' Mills and Connor Hodges never gave up the fight and pushed hard to the chequered flag. RYMXC would like to thank all riders, marshalls and of course the spectators for the support! RESULTS:
RYMXC held Round 7 of the Club Championships at Neuadd Track Nr Pen-y-bont. With dry conditions but wet and soft under foot (after all the rain we have had) racing in the morning really sorted out the men from the mice, with some very slippery and tricky steep hills. In the afternoon the track was completely different after drying out quite a lot, giving perfect track conditions! The adults had some very exciting races throughout the day, I don't know what Cool Chris Morris and Sexy Wyn Hope had for breakfast, but it must of been good cos they were on it and trying to sort out the RYMXC Angel Charlie Evans (not quite though)!!! Charlie was absolutely awesome and proved he,s not to be messed with, riding in very sticky conditions in the morning 'The Angel' made it look perfectly easy taking all three race wins riding in a class of his own. But piling on the pressure was Cool Chris Morris who rode amazingly all day and pushed himself to the edge with some very fast lines and outstanding riding and finished in second overall. Making them all sweat on the starting gate was Sexy Wyn Hope who had his best ride to date finishing in third overall with some incredible riding for a old one pushing Charlie, Chris and Luke Davies all the way to the chequered flag. The lovely Luke Davies tried hard all day but seemed to be off the pace a bit to what he is normally and had to settle for forth position after pushing himself all day with some quick and intense riding. A well deserved fifth place went to Mark Staples after he battled with Adam Rees and Chris 'Cubby' Price all three riding very well. Poor Mark 'The Abbey' Evans was going really well until he had bike problems in race two and was very lucky to finish race three. The Seniors all proved to be very quick and positions changed all the time, but Dan Evans wore the crown in the end with a superb days racing. Dan had three very strong races proving to everyone he is a very determined young man with two seconds places and a third. No 82 Ryan Davies took a great win in race one and kept his foot down all day taking a very well deserved second overall. After a bad first race Rhys Jones came through to finish in third overall in great style taking the win in the third race. Fourth position overall went to Gareth Hughes who rode extremely well using his head, with a very consistent ride. Joe Price was showing great form and pushing hard in race two taking a well deserved win and finished in fifth place overall. Dean Plumstead grew in confidence and had his best result to date with a brilliant ride and made his dad very proud! While Shaun Probert also rode extremely well taking some fast lines. Well what a boy, there's just no stopping awesome Aled Thomas in the Inter-Open class he is amazing flying like a bird with two race wins and a second place. Aled pulled out all the stops on the tricky track and battled closely with amazing Adam Morris who took the win in race two. Both riders were outstanding and only two points separated them in the end, but Aled took the first place position overall and Adam settled for second. Third overall went to cool dude Ryan Waters (top) who had excellent starts and is just getting quicker and riding in complete control as he tried to close the gap between himself and the top two. Fantastic fourth went to local rider Alwyn Watkins who seemed to love the new track and took some very fast lines showing good ability on his Kawasaki. But the highlight of the day went to Rhayader girl Hannah 'Hard Nut' Hope who had fourth off the line in the first race and came home to pass the chequered flag in third position with a very controlled race. Hannah took fifth position overall and it was very well deserved, as she has to deal with the strong Jody Amner and the fit Rhian George who both rode extremely well in the hard conditions. Ryan Evans is regaining confidence with a much better ride and trying hard taking some very fast lines and pushing the mid pack all day long. The Inter-85 were a very interesting group and all very close in riding ability which made it very exciting indeed! Hywel 'Millsy' Mills seemed to be on fire yet again taking the win of the day by two points in great style and showing good sportsmanship off the track. Settling for a well deserved second overall was Joel 'The Joker' Hughes who rides like a dream and certainly doesn't give up without a fight and just missed out on the win in race three after coming off on the last lap, which was so unlucky for him! But Danny 'Haircut Boy' Morris (right) was the man pushing the Joker in race three and was very pleased to pass that chequered flag first with a fantastic display and a great big smile on his face and his family went nuts!! Adam E.T James rode very well and really is on form taking two third positions and a fourth and battled with the front boys to end up finishing in fourth overall. Fast boy Josh Ford took fifth and Kiaron Watkins took sixth both stepping on the gas and flying over the jumps with ease. All the boys rode very well and showed great respect for each other on and off the track and in this class it really could be any of them to take that chequered flag so watch this space for next time!!! The Juniors were one of the bigger entries but it did not stop Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson who really enjoyed the track and it showed as he took all three race wins with great style and loved jumping the big jumps! Sorting Jack out on the start was his best friend Alex 'Bubba' Walton who seems to nail them everytime, but not for long has Fast Eddy soon said 'kiss my a... ' as he went powering through the track. Bubba certainly went with him this time and wasn't gapped as much which was good to see both riding with great confidence and making it look very easy. Wild Will Jones had a nasty crash in race three but still finished in a fantastic third overall as he pushed himself to the edge to try and catch the top two carrying great speed. On the chase of Wild Will was Charlie Price who had a third in race two and is ever improving to finish in a very strong fourth overall. It was great to see Kieron 'smiler' Mills in the top five cornering with great power and ever strong. Kieron pushed Ieuan Morgan and Adelaide Watkins to the limit all three having some great battles. Adelaide had a fantastic start in the first race taking fourth off the line sorting all those boys out!! Callum Evans was jumping very well and Connor Friel never ever gave up in such tricky conditions in the morning. The fast Auto boys were out the gate last with Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans in a class of his own powering off the start line. And oh my goodness didn't he deliver with three race wins and riding the best I have seen, he was flat out in every race! Hunting down the The Brookster were riders Iwan Roberts and Ryan 'The Rocket' Rowlands and oh boy did they battle it was great to see but put the dads to sweat! Iwan Roberts just got the better of the Rocket by two points overall taking second place but he deserved it by delivering the goods! The Rocket took a very strong third in the end but my goodness he,so a fighter. Both boys rode excellent and were taking some very scarily lines as they battled. 'The Javelin' cute Jamie Evans finished in fourth overall after yet again another great display out that staring gate putting his mother on the edge of her seat in the lap dancing shed! Jamie is a very strong lad and pushes the rest of the field all the time. Ben Evans upped his game as he just loved the tricky track and piled the pressure on 'the Javelin' with a excellent days work to finish in fifth overall. While Declan Roden and Harry Edmondson also had a very good ride showing lovely style and tried so hard. But the star of the show had to Mr Iwan Mills who drove that Honda round like a true solider always pushing and loving it! was nice to Elgan Davies back on the track again and handle the track very well as it was his first ride at the Neuadd but he dealt with really well. RYMXC would like to thank all Marshalls without you there would be no racing and not for getting the riders. Thank you to all the boys on the committee who work so hard to put on such a smooth running event and of course my girls in the lap dancing pavilion, we had a scream thanks to Tracey Lucas!!!!!!!! RYMXC held the Final BSMA Welsh Championship Round at Moelfre track near Rhayader on Sunday 27th July 08. The sun decided to show its face (for the fourth time this year) so everyone was in the mood for some great racing and the marshal's had to bring out their sun cream instead of wellies which was a real treat! The Welsh Championships have consisted of three rounds, one at each venue and have been a great success. Holding on tight to the starting gate handle were Paul 'Linford Christie' Evans and Rob 'Slim Jim' Hughes, while Paul 'Chatter Box' Mills had hold of the 15 second board all three doing a great job! They let the Autos out the gate first and the 'Rocket' Ryan Rowlands piled on the pressure straight away with a tremendous ride in the first race as he held off The Brooskster on lap two and three, but Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans wasn't having any of it. More determined than ever The Brookster pushed himself too the limit with a very cool and confident first place, showing great strength and became Auto Welsh Champ for 2008 - so well done! Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans had yet again some amazing starts and battled with Iwan Roberts in race three changing positions all the time, but The Javelin proved to be strong by taking third and Iwan settled for fourth after a brilliant display. Iwan Mills had a great day and never gives up and he took a very pleasing fourth position in the race two. Iwan mostly battled with ever improving Ben Evans who had a good ride and Ben took some confident lines. The Junior section was a very close call, I think they had all had shredded wheat for breakfast! A well deserved win of the day went to Alex 'Bubba' Walton, but Bubba did not have it easy. Bubba got all three race starts out the gate and tried to pull away but Wild Will Jones and Connor Clewett were on his case straight away not letting Bubba out their sights! Bubba had two first and a second place and became Welsh Champ 2008 showing fantastic ability. Wild Will had his best ride to date and carried great speed taking the win in race one as Bubba slipped off ahead of him on the last lap! Wild Will had an awesome days racing and was chuffed to take second overall, with some outstanding riding. Connor Clewett upped his game and certainly impressed a lot of people, Connor has been improving all season and he certainly deserved second in race one and finished third overall with some excellent riding. Ieuan Morgan had a fantastic day's racing taking two third's in race one and two, and seemed to be completely in control and taking some very quick lines. Ever improving Rhys Roberts had a very consistent ride showing great confidence round the fast track and was pushing the mid pack all the time. All riders rode extremely well and have come on leaps and bounds! Well what can, I say about the Inter-85 Small Wheel they really did put on a show for the spectators in some order and had everyone on the edge of their seats! Taking the win of the day was awesome rider Jordan Pyne who was absolutely amazing riding , setting a fast pace out in front taking two wins and a second place. Not far away from Jordan was another star Ciran Williams who rode out of his skin with two seconds places and a lucky win in the third race after Jordan came off. Ciran has really set a high standard in this class all season and is an incredible rider. Ciran was very pleased to become Welsh Champ 2008 and he well deserves it. Ciran didn't always have it easy with Ben Nicholls hot on his tail, carrying great speed and determination piling on the pressure in every race! Adam James finished in a very strong fourth after having a hard day battling with Hywel 'Millys' Mills who had a nasty crash in race two and hurt his wrist but that didn't stop riding in race three and was riding on the edge all day long. Danny Morris had a very pleasing sixth overall after Josh Ford pushed Danny all day with some brilliant battles. 'The Joker' Joel Hughes was very unlucky in the last race when his bike decided to stop dead and he was in third position at the time having a storming race, but he took it like a true man. This class was very exciting to watch all day and had a high standard of riding - well done boys! Toby Williams was the winner in the Inter-open class and was absolutely flying and seemed to love the fast Moelfre track. Toby had two first positions and a third and made it look very easy indeed with a spectacular display of how to ride your bike!! Fast boy Aled Thomas settled for two outstanding second positions and a win in race one and showed he never gives up the fight. Aled also became Welsh Champ in this class for 2008 and he certainly deserves it after working hard at all three rounds, so well done to Aled. Taking third overall was classy rider 211 Adam Morris who pushed in every race closing the gap all the time and had a strong second in race two. Ryan Waters had a very rewarding result finishing in fourth. Ryan really is improving and uses his head taking some quick lines. When Shane Slatcher gets a good start there is no stopping with a top ten finish in race two and three, riding extremely well. Girl power was as tough as ever as both girls Jody Amner and Hannah Hope collided together at great speed in race one, but both getting back on their bikes like true sports-women should and battling through the pain barrier! Mean rider Dan Evans took the win of the day in true style with two wins and a fourth and oh-boy is he quick. Dan's smooth lines and true determination really paid off and is as cool as a cucumber putting a fantastic show for everyone and also became Welsh 2008 Champ! Pushing Dan in race two was Chris 'Tuffa' Evans and Ryan Davies who really step on the gas with pure guts! Ryan took second overall and Tuffa settle for third with only two points separating them, both with fantastic ability. Fourth overall was nice guy Gareth Hughes who had a very consistent day and proved he's not to be messed with! Spencer Eve followed the front pack hard and pushed all the way, while Elliott Freil went very well in race two and seemed to up his game. Dean Plumstead battled with Adam Kiel and Shaun Probert all having a good days riding, while poor old Tom 'Farter' Nicholls had bike problems but he kept trucking! Up last were the 'Old Men' and there are some young ones amongst them like the lovely Luke Davies who had the win of the day with two firsts and a second position riding on the edge and flying over the ski jump like a true champ! Chris 'Wally' Walton finished in a very proud second overall and got the whole-shot in the last race pulling away from the rest of the field by a long way (he was no good to me that night)!!! My favourite Cool Chris Morris came in third after some awesome racing and the spectators love to watch him and he also became Welsh Champ for 2008, so well done to Cool Chris it is very well deserved! Jonathan 'Pastrana' Evans got fourth overall had got some much better starts and put Cool Chris to sweat in race three. Wyn 'Sexy' Hope had some fantastic starts and goes well and is doing extremely well considering he had a major knee operation the at the start of the year. Local rider Marc Evans 'The Abbey' always has a consistent ride and never misses an event, and certainly did well. Derry Knox is improving all the time and getting quicker and quicker! RYMXC would like to thank all Marshals'. RESULTS:
WELSH 2008 FINAL RESULTS
RYMXC held the Sixth Round of the Club Championship at Saints Well track Nr Rhayader on Sunday 6th July '08. With testing track conditions sorting the men from the boys the Adults hit the gate first, with some extremely fast boys. And proving to everyone he means business was Charlie 'Angels' Evans absolutely cornering on rails and showing great fitness with three race wins. Pushing Charlie all the way was Lushes Luke Davies who had the whole-shot in the third race and held Charlie off for four awesome laps with a brilliant battle and nail-biting stuff! Cool Chris Morris came in a very strong third overall after a bad fall in the first race but he showed nothing will stop him, he's like action man powering around the track trying hard to catch the front two with great style, very closely followed by Jonathan Evans working very hard. Wearing the crown in the senior class was a very gutsy Gareth Hughes who really loved the tricky conditions taking the triple win of the day. Gareth was awesome and deserved the big win but he didn't get it easy with Tom 'Farter' Nicholls hot on his tail. Tom got the whole-shot in the first race with Gareth and Aled Price pushing hard it was a hell of a race! Taking third overall was Justin Jarman who had a very strong and consistent ride. Ever improving Julian Eckley had his best result to date and rode extremely welll and battled all day with Dean Plumstead who also put in a great days work. All the Big-Wheel 85's loved the track and it certainly showed by the standard of riding from all riders. Aled 'Awesome' Thomas was yet again in a class of his own putting on a tremendous show never ever giving up and he reaped the rewards with two wins and one second. Pushing Aled hard was talented rider Adam Morris who was on his tail and was completely in control as he took first in the second race and I must say what a rider. I am very pleased to say (and so was his dad) that a well deserved third overall went Billy Johnson who got the whole-shot in the first race and took home his best result to date after a very confident ride - so well done Billy lets see a bit more of that please! Ben Francis and Ryan Waters also rode out of their skin pushing each other to the limit both riding very, very well. It was nice to see local rider Ryan Evans back on his bike after a nasty crash at the Neuadd and he just loved the wet conditions, which he always rides well in. Well the magic moment went to local rider Hywel 'Millsy' Mills who rode absolutely brilliantly coping with the tricky conditions very well and showing everyone he does not give up easily riding in a class of his own, with all three wins. Trying hard to close the gap on Millsy was Adam E.T. James who had three second place wins showing some excellent riding with good positioning in the saddle, but finding it difficult to catch up with Millsy out in front. Ever improving Kiaron Watkins is just getting better and better and he made his granddad very proud by taking a very impressive third overall. Danny Morris was as usual riding very confidentially and never gave up, while Ben Nicholls was unlucky ending the second race with bike trouble and unable to start the third! Kieron 'cookie' Cooke was the star in the junior group as he powered his way round the track with great speed taking a two wins and a second place showing everyone he means business, but Cookie didn't get it all his own way. Fast Eddy Jack Edmondson was awesome in the first race and showed great class taking the win and finishing in second place overall. Alex 'Bubba' Walton always enjoys the wet as it sets him a good challenge and he certainly did well finishing in third overall. While, Wild Will Jones took home another consistent fourth and had some really strong starts. Jac-Rhys Jones had a good result in race one finishing in sixth after a cracking start out the gate. With a fast and testing track for the Auto's, it was Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans who was Mr Whole-shot man as the rest of the pack followed closely behind. As the Brookster powered round the track it really tested him but he still came home to take the win of the day in a class of his own. Harry Edmondson was not to be messed with in race two when he took second place showing great strength and determination. In third overall was the 'Rocket' Ryan Rowlands who proved he can ride in any conditions. Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans is getting stronger and quicker everytime he rides fighting till the bitter end, while Ben Evans had a fantastic day and showed brilliant ability. RYMXC would like to thank all Marshalls and the lap scoring ladies who did such a great job at reading the muddy numbers!!!!! RESULTS:
RYMXC held the Second Round of the BSMA Welsh Championships on Sunday 15th June 2008 at their new 'Neuadd' track near Pen-y-bont. The track is an old track which was raced on many years ago and thanks to the hard work of Mr Ray Collard it has now got some fantastic jumps and lots, lots more!! The weather was dry and very warm all day with riders having a great experience of riding the new track in great conditions! The Autos were very keen to get out onto that huge track with Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans taking every start with ease and pulling away from the rest of the field straight away and absolutely destroying the jumps flying like a golden eagle. As usual Brookster had all his family supporting him and a very proud mum as he took home all three race wins! Ryan 'The Rocket' Rowlands had some unlucky starts but soon battled through to be a front runner as usual showing he carriers great speed and ability taking all second place wins and he was like superman over the jumps!! A well-deserved third overall went to Jamie 'Javelin' Evans who had a very strong ride and with an excellent start in the first race putting his big cousin 'The Brookster' to sweat! Well local rider Iwan Mills was a star yet again finishing in a very proud fifth position trying so hard and having some great battles with rest of the pack. Ben Evans and Harry Edmondson pushed each other to the limit while Cei Evans had a great third in the last race of the day, while unlucky Iwan Roberts landed badly in race one off the jump but did ride again in race three. Juniors were out next with some very quick boys indeed! Birthday boy Luke Craig worked extremely hard out in front pushing himself all the way after battling with Kieron Cooke and Jack Edmondson all day taking home first overall with great determination! Finishing in second position was Kieron Cooke who always pushes the field to the limit taking two wins and travelling at great speed. Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson had one second place and two third places taking great lines and showing a fantastic natural ability on his 65cc. Ever improving Alex 'Bubba' Walton had an excellent result finishing in fourth with three amazing starts and trying to hold off the top three for as long as he could. Wild Will Jones loved the new track and it showed as he finished in fifth overall after battling all day with the mid pack but came out on top! Only girl rider Adelaide Watkins had a very consistent ride and carried great speed and strength. Also never giving up and really enjoying the track was 'Cool Customer' Dylan Leach who was clearing the jumps with ease.
Inter-Open class was very exciting to watch with positions changing all the time. Coming out on top was ever determined Aled Thomas (above) and it was good to see him back on his bike after an unlucky run at Moelfre. Aled had two first positions and a second but he didn't get it all his own way as 411 Ryan Thomas and 211 Adam Morris pushed him in every race with a good display for the spectators! All three riders really powering around the track and enjoying the jumps!! Luke Morgan had a good day finishing in fourth overall with a consistent ride trying hard to catch up with the top three. Billy Johnson finished in a very impressive fifth overall after battling with Daryl Prisk and Will Nicholls and Billy's dad was over the moon! Eillott Cockburn, Sam Newell, Lewis Jones and Ben Davies were all within reach of each other as they got used to riding the new fast flowing track but they handled it very well and were getting quicker every lap! Great girl power with riders Jody Anmer, Hannah Hope and Rhain George as all three set themselves a very high standard of racing! Well done to you girls keep it up!

RYMXC held the first round of the BSMA Welsh Championship at Saints Well track Nr Rhayader on Sunday 4th May 2008. It was a beautiful warm dry day with plenty of entertainment and serious racing on the new track! With perfect track conditions the Autos were out of the gate first with the ever talented Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans hungry for the starts and Ryan 'Rocket' Rowlands piling on the pressure! 'The Rocket' riding better than ever on the fast track, he was very quick to follow 'The Brookster' in the first two races both showing great riding ability. Iwan Roberts had a fantastic third off the line in the last race of the day and held off Ben Evans and Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans for the whole race, showing them he means business! Ben and 'The Javelin' battled all day with some very strong riding, both getting a brilliant result! Declan Roden , Iwan Mills, Archie Collier and Elgan Daives putting on a real show and taking some very fast corners! The crazy juniors seemed to love the fast track as they all shoot round like bullets! With Jordan Saunders getting two firsts and a unlucky fifth in the first race it was anybodies! Pushing Saunders all the way were Kieron Cooke and Luke Craig all three pulling away with some fantastic riding. Alex 'Bubba' Walton had some great starts and showed confidence. Behind the top four were some brilliant battles with Callum Crockett, Wild Will Jones and Connor Clewett. 'Wild Will' keeping his cool in second race with a much better start as Ieuan Morgan tried to reel him towards the end! Oh boys look out for Adelaide Watkins she's on fire, with Jac Rhys-Jones trying hard to pass in the third race -but oh no! With a superb first ride of the season was Mr Huw Nicholls letting everyone know he's back! In an absolute class of his own was Ciran Williams in the Inter-85 with an incredible display of speed and control, flying round the track with a huge lead taking all three race wins. Ben Nicholls is back with style and his hard work paid off as he finished in second overall with outstanding riding. But the most exciting racing of the day was between Hywel Mills and Joel 'The Joker' Hughes wheel to wheel with some awesome lines testing each other to the limit! Everyone was on the edge of their seats in the second race as Joel pulled out all the stops to pass Hywel but unfortunately Joel crashed on the last lap, but what a display of shearer guts from both of them! Dan Craig upped his game in the second race taking second off the gate and holding off Hywel and Joel for three laps! Josh Ford took home a well deserved fifth place overall after battling with Adam James in the first race. The Inter-open class was dominated by Kieron Malloy riding like a true champion working very hard out in front making sure he took all the quick lines. There was unbelievable pressure between Aled Thomas and Adam Morris out on the track, both wanting that second place position. Aled just held onto second overall by two points while Adam got a fantastic third. The drier conditions always suite Jody Amner as she certainly proved to everyone by an outstanding forth position and big smile, after having a brilliant battle with Will Nicholls in race two! It was good to have Will Nicholls back on board with a consistent ride. Daryl Prisk upped his game in third race of the day taking fourth at the chequered flag. Hannah Hope and Ryan Evans had a very close finish in race three while Sam Newell and Jamie Webb fought hard! Super big line up in the seniors with some super-stars! Matthew Thomas took the win on the day with two firsts and a second, but not making it easy for Matthew was Matt Burrows taking a first position in the second race it was awesome to watch as Ryan James joined in as well! RYMXC held the Fourth Round at everyone's favourite track Moelfre near Rhayader on Sunday 20th April '08. With a low mist most of the day there was never a dull moment and the dryer weather brought out the spectators in force! Rob Hughes loosed out the mean Auto machines first with Ryan 'Fast Boy' Rowlands just taking the whole-shot from the Brookster in the first race, but not for long 'Brooklyn 'The Brookster' Evans wasn't having any of it and soon took back the lead on the second corner with 'Fast Boy' Rowlands riding on the edge and pushing the whole race! 'The Brookster' took home the triple win of the day with Ryan finishing in a very strong second. There was great action behind the front runners with ever improving Ben Evans and Harry Edmondson battling it out for points, with Jamie 'The Javelin' Evans hot on their tails taking a third in the second race and only girl rider Abbey Thomas taking some very smooth lines. Iwan 'lobe lo' Mills had a fantastic third off the line in the second race and battled with Abbey who just took the chequered flag both having a great day! Declan Roden put in a good days riding showing great ability and determination. The line up in the juniors was extremely hot and very intense!! Jordan Saunders rode with a style of his own taking home three wins and with great determination was Kieron 'Cookie' Cooke who had a fourth, second and a third place. Having a bit of bad luck on the day was Jack 'Fast Eddy' Edmondson after taking the whole-shot in the third race, his bike stopped on a corner and it took him a while to get it going again but he showed everyone he never gives up and battled on!! Making it very difficult for all riders at the start was Alex 'Bubba' Walton proving to everyone his ability on the KTM 65cc taking third in the first race. Always battling with Bubba is Daniel 'Dynamic' Earle who pulled out all the stops with a very consistent days work! Wild Will Jones as usual put on a great display for the crowd battling closely with Ben Davis-Jarman who is getting quicker and quicker! Connor Clewett and Ieuan Morgan rode out of their skin being pushed by Kieron Mills who always delivers! Alistair Evans had the win of the day with two first positions and one fourth in the Inter-85 group, with a huge lead in the second race he was absolutely flying and cornering the ease. With two seconds and a third was Ciran Williams with a supberb display of how to do ride your bike and a very excited dad watching! Battling with Ciran in the second race was Ben Nicholls, Jon Hunt and Joel 'The Joker' Hughes who got the whole-shot. Ben took home third overall, Jon Hunt Fourth after having the win in the first race and the cool, calm Joker in fifth. Once again Hywel Mills rode well on home ground with Adam James trying hard to pass him in the last race of the day but Millsy holding out to the chequered flag! It was great to see Josh Ford back on his bike after being injured and he proved he's up for it with a comfortable ride. Aled Thomas was so unlucky in the Inter-Open group after having the first two wins of the day and riding in a class of his own, Aled had bike problems in last race and had to retire and was extremely disappointed! But it was very lucky for Luke Evans who had two seconds positions and the win in the last race after riding very, very well! Daryl Prisk had a fantastic day and was back on form with such concentration on his face he tested Luke all the way in the second race never giving up! Daniel Griffiths finished in third overall after pushing hard to catch Rory Crisp in the second race, with Rory ending up taking home fourth. Battling with Rory in the third race was John Magilgan who had a DNF in the first race! Lady rider Jody Amner seamed to like the slippery conditions and fort it out with Ben Francis in race two both having a great ride. Jody finished in a very strong fifth overall. Lewis Jones and Sam Newell had a fantastic battle in the second race pushing each other to the limit Lewis just taking the chequered flag! With a massive line up in the seniors and some very talented riders and awesome battles it was very exciting for the crowd! Joe Price was putting on a great display as usual and took the first two wins but in the third race he had bike problems and did not finish which was so unlucky for Joe and had to settle for tenth position! With an outstanding consistent ride from Matthew Thomas who delivered three seconds places and closed the gap on Joe in the second, took home the win of the day! With a bad start in race two Myles Baldwin (number 90) pushed himself to the limit by passing the flag in an amazing third place and a very well deserved second overall, with easy on the eye Rhys Jones taking another pleasing result. Tom Nicholls with a brilliant and proud fourth overall after Ryan Davies and Richard Rees pushing all day! Ryan James and Gareth Hughes had a very dramatic finish in the third race. Elliott Freil rode very well, using his head and taking some positive lines. Well, what can I say everyone enjoyed the adult racing with Dirty Derek Watkins, Cool Chris Morris and Charlie 'Angels' Evans being the top three. Derek took two wins and a third place, while Cool Chris and oh boy it didn't take him long to get his form back (life in the old boy yet) had two seconds and one third with our favourite Angel finishing in third overall after injuring his hand, but pulling out all the stops with some great lines. Jonathan 'Pastrana' Evans and Wyn 'Sexy' Hope had some outstanding battles in the last race, with Jonathan finishing in fourth overall and Luke Davies having a brilliant day in fifth overall. Chris 'Cubby' Price, Adam Rees and Marc Evans all very fast! RYMXC would like to thank all Marshalls. Report By Hayley Walton

Battling it out all day shoulder to shoulder were Harry Edmundson and Ben Evans both having their best ride yet. Harry finished in third overall after Ben had a very bad crash in the last race and did not finish! The Brookster's younger cousin Jamie "javelin" Evans kept it in the family by finishing in fourth overall with a very consistent ride and Iwan Mills took a very good fifth and Alfie Roberts in sixth.
