Kielder


The k2 Rally 2010
17/18th July

The k2 Rally is set in the heart of the Northumberland National Park and takes in some stunning scenery. Starting from the tourist town of Bellingham and then entering the UK's biggest forestry complex at Smailmouth. The rally winds its way through the Bower, Pundershaw, Wark & Whitehill before emerging on the c200 near Wickhope. turning right towards kielder village we take in a short run alongside the famous kielder water before entering the forest and the run to kielder village. From kielder village the rally heads northeast to redesdale forest before turning south towards Falstones and the run home to Bellingham. All bikes must be road legal.

Camping at the start area will commence from Monday 12th July for those who would like to make a holiday of it. The start is only a short walk into Bellingham where you can find restaurants, bars, shops, and the filling station which will remain open during the event . The route is around 130 miles - nearly all of it off road - on gravel tracks and hard based trails. The club has organised 4 check/refueling points along the route with classes for big rally bikes, trail and enduro bikes. There is something for everyone in this amazing trip around Kielder and the Northumberland National Park. All the liaison stages are strictly non competitive however for those of you that want to let it hang out there is a special stage within the forestry complex. Limit 180 riders to enter.
