ROUND 2 @ TYFOS ESTATE, LLANDRILLO 27.4.08 WORDS': G.TURNER PICTURES: CETRA EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY FAST EDDY'S RELENTLESS! "Once again the rain tried to dampen the spirits at the latest WOR events production, the GAS GAS XC championship, round 2 at the superb TYFOS Estate in North Wales. Once again the wet stuff failed!! Two quality XC events ran on time and to the usual Standards that this class leading club always run to. The circuit to be fair, although very slippy after torrential overnight rain, remained totally ride able and offered the riders a very varied circuit indeed with technical woodland, awesome open mountainside and some fast forest roads. It was a shame that the rain came down and made things trickier than they need have been because on the day before (sat) the course was bone dry with powdered berms and loamy, peaty soil. All said and done though all of the riders crossed the finished line with a smile and a handshake for the clerk of the course. Testament to yet another great WOR event. Full Report

In the early hours of Friday 18th April the Enduro World lost one of its most well respected and helpful people; Bernard Hodgkins passed away after a long battle with illness, he was 68 ˝ years old, nearly everyone in the enduro paddock knew Bernard and his wife Jenny as they had traveled the world following a sport that they loved. Hackett storms to Greenhow win The Dirtbike-traxs crew found themselves at another new venue for the 4 round of the National Putoline hare scramble championship, the event which was planned for Settle in North Yorkshire had to be changed at short notice so the dirtbike-traxs team employed one of there spare venues Greenhow in North Yorkshire which comprised of 2 large fells with a steep valley running through the middle providing challenging stream crossings accents and descents and the long climb out of the valley bottom towards lap scoring , once again the hard working dirtbike-traxs team had created another interesting course to test the full entry of 250 riders.
