"FAST EDDY'S FAST CROSS"

"WOR Events tried their new format of the MICHELIN FAST CROSS out on Sunday gone and it was well received by all the riders. The format was simple each class got two 1 hour races with individual results, then both races were pooled together and an overall was decided. Add in the bonus of hole shot points in each of the classes in all of the races and you have something "a little different". Full report & results

The Great Britain XC Series - Round 2 - May 4th - Monmouth

A traction engine show took place in the county town of Monmouth this weekend. People are irresistibly attracted to these brooding mammoths as they symbolise Britain's uncanny ability to do great things & a few miles north of the town - outside the village of Welsh Newton - another mighty machine was drawing the crowds as it steamed irresistibly onwards. The 2nd round of the Great Britain XC series took place on May 4th near Welsh Newton against the spectacular backdrop of the Wye Valley. If the distance a rider is prepared to travel is a gauge of an event's stature then the fact that World champion David Knight traveled across the Atlantic for this one day event speaks volumes for the importance of the GBXC series. Metzeler Melville Motor Club SEC

Scottish Enduro Championship Round One & Two at Pathhead 26th & 27th April

The Melville Motor Club had to work hard to ensure this event went ahead as the land around the start/finish area has been purchased to reinstate the Borders Rail link. Once the land agent was satisfied there was enough public liability insurance in place the event was allowed to go ahead. The club is hoping to run this event next year on a modified route as the farmer is keen to support the Melville Motor Club. 155 competitors set out on Saturday, the track  was very wet resulting in a lap had being cut to ensure the course would stand up to another day of competition with another 155 entrants on Sunday. A hard Hardy's Enduro - 27th May

An Enduro is generally tough - not just for the bike, which gets a hard time soaking up the various obstacles - but as you'd expect with a name like Enduro, stamina plays a huge part. Plus, the Southern Counties Enduro Club billed this event as a hard Enduro which gave the impression that the Hardy's Monument circuit near Dorchester, Dorset could be a bit of a toughie. Not only that, there would be a morning and afternoon race with the first away being Championship, Expert and Clubman riders with the Sportsman entrants riding in the afternoon under the scrutuiny of the few top level riders who still had enough energy left to give a spot of tuition. - Report & results

Graythwaite round 1 Neec 27th April Barrow mcc

Wood wins wet Graythwaite Report dirtbike-traxs

The hard working Barrow mcc club staged the opening round of the NTB Husqvarna sponsored North of England Enduro Championship at the Graythwaite forestry complex near Newby Bridge Cumbria last weekend 27th April. This long established championship offers 6 different venues with 8 rounds and is one of the best time card championships in the Uk. The course - renowned for being hard but immensely popular with riders - once again lived up to its reputation of providing the ultimate riding challenge. The going was made even harder by the relentless rain in the previous 24 hours. The lap - 16 miles in length - was split in to 3 time checks, one of which was a fuel check. The start to the out check would prove the hardest of the day. Full Report
