WOR
Events and Steve Ireland are very pleased and proud to announce a very
important link up with Kawasaki UK and the famous Team Green off road
unit.
Steve has been kindly provided with a brand new KLX 450 for the forthcoming 24hr D2D race in August and with Steve taking on the huge challenge for a very worthy charity, a fully reliable, comfortable, capable and Powerful machine was required. Steve Now has this at his disposal and will be running in the machine over the next few days, setting it to his preferences and debuting the bike at the "Blood, Sweat and Gears XC TV special" this coming Sunday at WOR'S superb Maeshafn venue near Mold, North Wales. A 5hr XC event that will start off Steve's official training for the mammoth 24hr task that lies ahead. The Kawasaki was handed over to Steve today by the brilliant bunch of guys at Doug Hacking Motorcycles in Bolton on behalf of Kawasaki UK and the WOR events supremo could not have been happier. Steve Ireland (above) & Grant Hacking enjoy the handover of the
superb brand new KLX 450R. With the recent boom in interest in Kawasaki off road bikes…..The link up has come at a brilliant time and both parties are looking forward to a few ventures together in the very near future. Steve with the KLX back at WOR HQ. Steve Ireland said today: "This is great news and I would like to thank Grant at Hacking Racing and Ross at Kawasaki UK for sorting this out for me. It is very important that I ride a bike that can take on the conditions of a 24 hr race (especially as I'm riding for charity!!) with comfort, reliability and a super power delivery, The KLX 450R with it's Japanese quality and engineering is just about the perfect bike I could have chosen and I'm delighted to get my hands on it and get it prepped, set to my liking and out on the race track this Sunday in the BSG XC TV challenge, The start of my official training. It's funny because I started my love affair with dirt bikes over 29 years ago on a Kawasaki KX 100 and I have ALWAYS had a soft spot for the light green Brand and here I am now all this time on putting my leg over another green meanie. With all the hype and positive stuff happening around Kawasaki at the moment I am just thrilled to be part of it. Watch out for some great joint ventures from WOR and Kawasaki in the near future…….let the good times roll!!" More details about this news item and in fact more details on the D2D 24hr race Steve is competing in on August 30th 2209, For the Children's Adventure Farm Trust Fund (Helps disabled and disadvantaged children!!) is available at www.worevents.com including details on how to sponsor Steve in the challenge ahead. |
