Taddy dominates US Endurocross Rnd 2 in Oklahoma
US Endurocross Rnd 2, Guthrie. OK

KTM Enduro Factory Team Red Bull rider Taddy Blazusiak has claimed his second straight US Endurocross series victory following a dominant win in Oklahoma. Forced to fight hard for the win at the championship's opening round in Las Vegas, Taddy had a much easier time of things second time around as he was never headed during the main event. Taddy now holds a comfortable lead in the series' point standings.

Second quickest during the 'hot lap' session Taddy made light work of his heat race to pass through into the main event with ease. One year on from the serious crash that put him out of competition for several months and saw him endure a four-hour operation, Taddy was well and truly back to his best.
Missing out on claiming the holeshot in the main event by half a wheel, Taddy took no time at all to move into the lead as he quickly set about distancing himself from his rivals. Steadily edging ahead Blazusiak was never headed during the final and having made very few mistakes claimed the chequered flag close to half a lap of his nearest competitor.

With a little under one month until the US Endurocross series moves on to South Carolina on September 12 Taddy will now head home to Poland for a little rest before returning to the States in the hope of making it three-from-three in the '09 US Endurocross series.

Taddy Blazusiak: "What can I say other than I am really pleased with the way the event went. Obviously, I never made it to round two of the Endurocross championship last year following my accident so to get to race in Oklahoma this year, and to win, is great. The whole night went perfectly to be honest. My hot lap was good enough for second fastest, less than half a second behind Mike Brown and about three seconds faster than third, so I was pleased with that. My heat race went perfectly. I got the holeshot and then rode smart and smooth. I missed the holeshot in the main event by more or less nothing. I was leading by the second corner and after that I again just tried to stay smooth. I think I made one small mistake, but apart from that everything went well. There was a big battle behind me so I'm pleased I was out front. I have a pretty good points lead now, which is very different to last year. I'm really pleased with the way everything went."
