It’s
your SHOUT!
While
preparations are in full swing for the highly
anticipated British round of the 2010 SPEA FIM
Trial World Championship, which will take place
in the Scottish Highlands over the weekend of
25/26/27th June next year, one role the
event’s organisers have yet to fill is that of
co-commentator. In a bid to uncover raw, but
potentially new and exciting talent, L+M Events
have come up with the idea of an X-Factor-style
competition to give YOU the chance to enjoy the
show from the best position possible, alongside
the main presenter, as his right-hand person.
Yes, you read that right, you could be
co-commentating at the three-day SPEA FIM Trial
World Championship event next summer. All you
have to do to win or to earn this priceless
prize is send us a thirty-second video of
you delivering an off-the-cuff presentation
direct to camera. It does not matter what the
clip’s content is, you can simply introduce
yourself or opt to impress by giving an example
of your honed commentary skills. You just need
to try to make an impact because there can only
be one winner of this unique,
‘money-can’t-buy’ experience.
“This really is a once in a lifetime
opportunity,” said Jake Miller from L+M
Events, co-organiser of the FIM-backed outdoor
trial. “We are on the look out for a fresh,
enthusiastic and talented individual to join our
main commentator for the duration of the
weekend. We need someone who can help to relay
what is happening on the various sections and
entertain the crowd. Knowledge is important, but
so is having the gift of the gab. It is a tough
job, but we believe there is someone out there
who is ready for the challenge. This is their
chance.”
As well as being the event’s official
co-commentator the winner, who will be carefully
selected from all the entrants and notified of
their good fortune before the end of the year,
will be treated to an all expenses paid weekend,
with a competition package that encompasses
travel to and from the event and hotel
accommodation. Everyone deserves their five
minutes of fame, so why not use this opportunity
to put yourself in the spot light.
If the thought of commentating to a live
audience fills you with fear and dread, don’t
worry, as there are plenty of other ways to
enjoy the World championship trial at the
spectacular Nevis Range in Fort William next
year. Advance tickets are currently on sale and
there are some great savings to be had,
including a three-day family pass that is a
massive £120 cheaper than paying on the gate.
The bargains do not stop there, if you buy an
adult three-day pass in advance you save £25,
or £20 for the two-day ticket. What is more, if
you are quick you can also buy VIP car parking
passes, which allow you to enjoy the same access
as the riders, officials and VIP guests (like
co-commentators!). The VIP passes are limited,
so do not delay.
To submit a video, simply email it, together
with your name, age, address and contact
telephone number, to: info@ukworldtrial.com.
Video clips must be no longer than
thirty-seconds. Applicants must live in the UK
and be aged 18 or over. Deadline for entries is
30th November 2009. L+M Events’
decision is final and no correspondence will be
entered into. L+M Events will cover the
winner’s expenses to and from the trial and
provide overnight accommodation. Other expenses
incurred by the winner may be payable too,
subject to prior agreement and/or L+M Events’
discretion.
