SACU Scottish Enduro Forum at the North
Queensferry Hotel
There will be an Enduro Forum at the North Queensferry Hotel at 1.30pm on Sunday 8th November. The forum objective is to give everybody the opportunity to come along with suggestions on how to improve Enduros in 2010 and beyond. The Scottish Enduro Committee would like to encourage riders, helpers, photographers family and friends to come along and offer their support. No one will be press ganged into anything although if someone is prepared to become more involved in the Enduro scene this is the opportunity to make your self known to the organising clubs. There will be a round of the British Enduro Championship over the Easter weekend in 2010 and Johnny Little from the Grampian Club will be looking for volunteers to help run this, the most prestigious event of the year on the Scottish calendar. If you have a specific points to make the Enduro committee asks that you come with solutions to any problems that can be discussed openly with the good of the sport at the heart of the issue. Ideas such as timing and results, getting qualified officials and how to help keep the sport going will all be discussed. The committee is also looking for ideas to help raise funds for the 2010 Scottish ISDE team as next year it is to be held in Mexico. If we do not enter a team we loose the right to enter in the future. Ideas already put forward for fund raising include a Karting night, a social evening at a location to be agreed, a Hare and Hound where riders are sponsored for the number of laps they manage and another auction at Yarrowford Selkirk. ISDE Team 2010 Preceding the Enduro forum at 10.30am the committee is meeting to discuss the funding of the Scottish ISDE team and the criteria for selection to take part in next year's event in Mexico. Any riders who would like to be considered are asked to come to the Hotel at12.00 midday to discuss this fantastic opportunity and let us know if you are interested for 2010. The committee will also use this meeting to confirm which riders intend to ride in British, European and World Enduros. If a rider cannot make the meeting they should write or E Mail Charlie Mackenzie webmaster@scottishenduros.co.uk to confirm their intentions for 2010 before the 7th November. Following the forum the committee will be discussing any funding that may, or may not be available through the SACU. This is also an opportunity for riders and supporters to collaborate travelling arrangements to international events.
