James Dabill - JST GGUK Rider once again finished on the Podium at the infamous Barcelona World indoor yesterday evening.

The Barcelona round is known as the hardest indoor of the season and to finish on the podium is (in my opinion) a bigger achievement than the 3rd place he achieved at Round 1 in Sheffield. All the sections are unforgiving and you will see if you study the results that all the riders (apart from Toni) had many fives..

Dibs looked at bit stiff and not relaxed in qualifying and once again had to battle through the Last Chance and semi final to get into the final four and into the final.

He was cool in the LCQ, won his race easily and had a calculated one dab ride on the second section where both Adam and Wiggy failed.

This took Dibs into the semi with Gubian to join the top 4 from qualifying.

In the semi’s once again Dibs looked as good as anyone (apart from ‘Megabou’!) and had a simply awesome ride on section 5 with a superb one dab + one on time to finish second behind Toni. Section 5 had a massive and i mean ‘massive’ step at the end which only Dibs and Toni leveled. Fuji actually had three attempts at this final step and still couldn’t get up! This big effort from the singing gasser and the screaming Jack Lee (and me!) got him into the final….game on!

Going into the final Dibs had a 2 point lead over Fuji. They both fived sections 7 & 8 so dibs kept his slim lead with only one section to go. Fuji went first and cleaned to put the pressure on Dibs who actually fived the same section in qualifying. A solid and confident clean (1 on time) took Dibs and his factory gasser onto the Spanish podium…JOB WELL DONE…all happy!

Dibs is now 3rd in the World Indoor Championship with two rounds to go…

Keep ya head Dibs and keep grafting!

Thanks to Jack and isma…
