Grampian Metzeler British Enduro Championship rescheduled
8th and 9th May
The ACU have agreed a new date for the Grampian Metzeler British Enduro Championship on the 8th and 9th May. The entries have been re opened and the Grampian motorcycle club is keen to encourage Clubman and Sportsmen riders to take part as the course consists of two laps of Lossie forest and three runs around Woodside Motocross track. It will not be too difficult as the course has been set out to give riders of all abilities the chance to finish. The 'sea of stones' and the 'dunes of death' still feature but are not as difficult as they sound. The course would have stood up to the recent weather but the trip up to Elgin would have been very difficult due to the roads blocked with snow, hence the postponement. The Championship class will be required to complete three laps and finish with two back to back tests at Woodside motocross track ensuring a spectacle for the lower class rides who will have finished and spectators alike. There will inevitably be riders who will not be able to take part with the change of date therefore the club would welcome additional entries. Unlike the Scottish Championship you can enter with a one event licence, any queries can be emailed to the event secretary Caroline Thomson email atholl2caroline.cam40@ntlworld.com Hopefully the new date will bring good weather, when the conditions are good at Lossie forest you will not find a better event, although the track will stand up well whether there is rain or shine. One thing you can guarantee is a good Scottish welcome. For further details and to download regulations check out; www.scottishenduros.co.uk
