Injury
forces Blazusiak out of 2010 EWC opener
KTM Enduro Factory Team rider Taddy Blazusiak has been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s opening round of the ’10 Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship due to injury. While training close to Girona, Spain, Taddy parted company with his factory EXC 250-F while riding at speed landing on his head and shoulder. Suffering a concussion and a fractured shoulder blade Blazusiak has returned to Poland in order to speed up his recovery. Taddy is unlikely to compete in the second round of the EWC, the GP of Portugal, although a final decision will be taken on Monday, April 12 following consultation with specialists. Taddy Blazusiak ‘I got a pretty good concussion, but the worst thing is my fractured shoulder blade. Thankfully it’s not too serious, but I have a lot of pain when I try and move it. There’s no way I can race, not this coming weekend anyways, so I’m back in Poland now doing everything I can to speed up the recovery. Crashes happen, it’s just one of those things, but I was really fired up for the first two Enduro World Cup races and looking forward to seeing how I would perform.” |
