I Love Trials - Do you?

Lampkin Stars In Scottish Movie
I Love Trials – Dougie Lampkin vs Nevis Range

The much anticipated ‘I Love Trials’ film will break cover later this week, with ex multi FIM Trial World Champion and legend Dougie Lampkin playing a lead role in this short Scottish production. Set high on the snow-covered summit of Aonach Mor and in the shadow of the famous North face of Ben Nevis, this near six-minute master-piece shows Lampkin in his absolute element.

Like the many thousands of extreme sports participants who flock to the wonderful Nevis Range ski resort, just outside Fort William each year, Dougie arrives in the Highlands well equipped to enjoy an action packed day of mixed activities. Watch as Dougie and his toys are transported to the highest point of the mountain by very unusual means, before the cross-talented Red Bull athlete is set free to play in a way that has never been seen before.

Whilst Dougie’s skills on a trials bike are well known, many will be amazed just how at home the thirty-four year old looks on a snowboard as he grabs some serious air against the background of a loch filled valley below. Lampkin cannot resist the snow packed meadow and it is not long until he is back on his more familiar trials bike, but in some very different surroundings to usual. The resulting action confirms that this is most definitely the Outdoor Capital of the UK.

Another quick change of clothing, and Lampkin makes his downhill mountain bike debut on the formidable Nevis Range track that weaves its way majestically down from the top gondola station to the car park below. Back on lower ground, Dougie rounds off his action packed day, by clearly showing which sport is his first love, despite having enjoyed all the pursuits. The final twist in the tale is a series of cameo appearances by the Worlds best trials riders.

“As many of you will know, I am no stranger to being in movies these days.'' Lampkin joked initially.

“But this film is very different to anything I have done before. It was great fun making it and I am really pleased with the end product. Nevis Range is the ultimate extreme sports playground and I think that really comes across well in the movie. I just hope everyone enjoys watching it as much I did making it.” Dougie ended.

‘I Love Trials – Dougie Lampkin vs Nevis Range’ – is a not to be missed movie and will make its exclusive global premier on the World’s leading English speaking trials website later this week.

Tune in to www.trialscentral.com at 18.00hrs (UK time) on Thursday 15th April 2010 to watch Dougie take on one of the most formidable mountains in the Scottish Highlands. The ‘I Love Trials’ film - is another piece of fine work by the internationally renowned Stu Thomson of MTBcut.
