Alex Rockwell MPS Racing's Alex "Rocky" Rockwell stepped into the ring with a concrete pipe at last weekend ACU British Enduro Sprint Championship in Dorset & booked himself onto a flight to A&E. Alex was temporarily blinded by dust whilst overtaking a slower rider & he overshot a bombhole. His front wheel hit the concrete pipe which was going nowhere & the impact threw him onto the bars. It was a nasty accident & he was in a lot of pain. The air ambulance was called & it flew him the 10 miles to Dorchester Accident & Emergency. After tests & a night in hospital Alex felt he had recovered enough to return home but as he landed in the Isle of Man on Sunday night his side had swollen right up and it was causing him a lot of pain. An ambulance was called to the airport and ended up spending another night in hospital! "Not good but I am feeling a lot better, up and walking round, and the swelling is going down. I was really disappointed at crashing at the Sprint, as I loved the track (well the half a lap I did! haha), and also throwing the championship away. But these things happen, and I am now looking forward to getting back on the bike ASAP and getting the results that the MPS Racing team and the bike deserve".
