Knighter ready for EWC GP of Poland after British Enduro Championship win

With two highly important rounds of the '10 Enduro World Championship taking place over the next two weekends David Knight has shown that he is more than ready to battle for Enduro 3 class top honours at the respective GPs of Poland and Slovakia by topping both days of competition at the third round of the Metzeler ACU British Enduro Championship, held in Mid Wales.

Continuing his winning ways just one week after wrapping-up the British Enduro Sprint Championship title, Knight topped the results at the Hafren Dirt Bike Club organised Hafren Enduro with relative ease. Finishing ahead of KTM mounted Greg Evans on both days, David claimed his fourth and fifth consecutive championship day wins with the event proving to be great training ahead of his upcoming Enduro World Championship outings.

The fourth round of the '10 Enduro World Championship, in Kwidzyn, Poland, takes place this coming weekend June 12 & 13 with the GP of Slovakia just one week later.

David Knight: 'It goes without saying that all world championship events are important, but the GPs of Poland and Slovakia really are important races for me this year. When the two events are over the series will have well and truly moved past the half way point, which means good results are a must. I really enjoy racing in both Poland and Slovakia, and have had some great results there in the past. The weather can make things seriously tough, but I'm ready for the races and looking forward to them. Winning two events in Mid Wales, where conditions were grassy and not too much different to what I'm expecting in Slovakia, has been great. Wrapping up the enduro sprint championship and then winning the third round of the BEC has been great. We had two long days of riding this past weekend, which was good for me going into the event in Poland this weekend. Things are going well for me as far as the British championships are concerned, hopefully these next two world rounds will go equally as well.'
