Electraction TM  racing Press release  12/06/10

With the continued visa restriction on Josh Green from entering the UK and a mysterious illness causing Phillip Mc Laughlin to “ black out” , TM's  manager Nick Craigie has regretfully decided to withdraw the team from the BEC championship and/or until Phillip is cleared to return .

Said Nick “  We had planned to have a really good season and be competing for the Sprint and BEC titles . Early season form suggested we were in with a real shout , but I suppose like politics a week is a long time in racing .

Had Joshua been injured it would have been easier to accept, but to be denied entry to the UK by an over zealous immigration official, and then to meet nothing but a blank wall of silence and frankly quite unhelpful officialdom is hard to take . Josh would have added a lot to both championships. I am not going to bang my head against the wall any longer over the visa issue, I do not understand it , nor does Joshua, his parents or his local embassy. It’s a quite ridiculous situation.

Phillip has been riding really well and worked very very hard over the winter months and has shown that his speed on the new 250f is right up there with the best, but has been hit with a mysterious condition which causes him to get dizzy and blank out. What it is we do not know. He is naturally very disappointed, but again we all accept he needs to find the cause before competing seriously again .

Taking all this into account we will not be attending as a team at the BEC, the first time we have not had a presence for possibly 20 years. We will continue to lend what support we can to Adrian Lappin (vets TM 250), Robert Lynn (expert TM 125), Daniel Beavan (TM 250 expert) & Gordon Clarke (TM 250 c/ship)

"We will return “
