Top comedian Ross Noble showed a more serious side to his personality this weekend by traveling south from Newcastle to Bagshot to compete in the opening round of the Team REME KTM Winter series. Ross learnt to ride in Australia where "the local population of poisonous snakes and spiders were a real incentive to keeping your bike upright. One down side of riding in the Bush are the kangaroos. They stand up on their hide legs, cross their arms and destroyed your self confidence with some very judgmental looks. Back in the UK, Ross has been training with the Desert Rose team and in 2009 he competed in the first Dawn to Dusk 24 hour race. Despite the typical Welsh Summer weather of ice cold rain and wind, Ross and his team finished. Crossing the line after 4 hours of racing on Sunday Ross couldn't resist a comic moment when he laid his bike down in the pits and complained "how many more sighting laps have we got to do before they start this bloody race". All jokes aside Ross did well to finish and clock up 7 laps.
