Scott Altass
True Grit Off Road's (TGOR) ethos of bringing on young riders into the sport of Enduro has paid off with the offer of a sponsored ride with Midwest Husaberg UK Racing team coinciding with the launch of the 2012 Husaberg TE 125 due to be in the country Mid June. 17 year old Scott Altass has been riding for TGOR for 8 years competing at junior hare scramble championships. After winning his first junior championship in 2008 he moved to on to the 125 cc machine. In 2010 Scott had his most successful year so far winning both the North England Clubman Hare & Hound Championship and the North of England Enduro Championship. Scott had his taste of top flight Enduro at national level in 2010 when he competed at the Dyfi and Natterjack 2 day Enduro posting a top 5 clubman finish at both events. Currently this year with the recent introduction of a new Enduro format he competed at the first 6 rounds of the British Enduro Sprint Championships. Scott will be competing on the Midwest Husaberg TE 125, joining fellow race team riders Simon Wakely, Tyson Maytom- Jones, Jon Hinam, Aaron Smith, Alex Rockwell, Richard Ely and James Jackman. With joint co-operation with True Grit Off Road and Midwest Husaberg UK, Scott will be competing at Sprint and British Enduro Championships as well as contending for the North of England expert Enduro title. It is hoped that this joint venture will bring mutual benefits to both organisations. |
