"Abbey Enduro” Round One ACU Doodson British Solo Enduro Championship 2012

Mid Wales Dirt Track MC & QC Ltd are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the first round of the ACU Doodson British Solo Enduro Championship 2012. Working closely alongside Paul Edmondson who has many years experience both in riding and running events will be a asset to the “Abbey Enduro” .

Paul Edmondson will head the team as Clerk of the course, with Harry Hockly and Steven Fletcher of Mid Wales Dirt Track working as assistants.

All of the team have been busy working behind the scenes, preparing the tracks in the woods, gaining valuable permissions from land owners etc.

The regulations are currently going through ACU house and will be available for release within the next few days.  Entry forms will be available from www.enduronews.com , www.ukxc.co.uk and www.midwalesdirttrack.com.  As a club we felt that in the current financial climate that releasing the regulations one month before the event, would give riders a little relief on their bank balances after the Christmas period.

The event is based near to the practice track of Saints Well, Abbeycwmhir (LD1 6PT). Starting from the same venue of “Fowlers Enduro” the event will utilise both Cwmcynnydd and Red Lion forests.

The aim of this BEC is to provide riders with plenty of special tests and fulfilment for the support crews. Therefore the start, refuelling and “Abbey” test are all located at the same place, this layout proved very successful at the recent Fowlers Enduro.

Therefore extending the compact club route and providing an extra test (two tests) will allow riders, support crews and spectators a taste of the action and a chance to see Britain’s best enduro riders.

Local accommodation can be found on www.visitmidwales.co.uk and www.rhayader.co.uk
