STEVE HOLCOMBE EXCITED TO GET 2022 ENDUROGP SEASON STARTED

Steve Holcombe gets back to business this coming weekend as the Beta Factory Racing star gears up for the 2022 FIM Enduro GP World Championship opener in Spain.

ē Steve heads to Spain for EnduroGP opener.
ē Former multi - time champion will compete in EnduroGP and Enduro2.
ē Steve will race a Beta RR Racing 390 in 2022.

After a busy and fruitful off season, seven - time FIM Enduro World Champion Steve Holcombe has his sights set on getting his 2022 campaign off to a solid start on Spanish soil in Lalin , in the northwest corner of the country . Making a switch to the Beta RR 4T Racing 390 for 2022, Steve will look to fight for both the EnduroGP and Enduro2 titles he last held in 2020.

Following what proved to be an injury and illness riddled 2021 season , Steve is determined to put his mis fortune s firmly behind him and get things off to a strong start . With goals placed on the pod ium , and focused firmly on the top step, the Beta rider is hoping the tests of Lalin will be to his liking .

Covering all bases, Steve enjoyed a busy off season of testing, training , and racing. Mixing things up, a trip to the USA saw him contest selected rounds of the GNCC series . Further racing came both at home in Bri tain and also in the Italian Enduro Championship, where Steve won last time out .

With a long Enduro GP season ahead, the championship will take in seven rounds across mainland Europe.

Round one in Spain will be backed up by round two the following weekend in Portugal. A five - week break sees racing resume in Italy at the end of June before returning to Po rtugal for round four one week later.

Slovakia and Hungary host round five and six in July and August, before the iconic Zschopau signs things off in Germany in October.

Steve Holcombe: ďIím really looking forward to getting started in EnduroGP. After what was a tough 2021, my motivation is really high to return strong and challenge for titles. Last year never really got going. I got injured on the first special test and it sort of carried on from th ere. Iím aiming for that not to happen this year ! But I also feel that with life getting back to normal post Covid pandemic, Iíve been
able to prepare better, like I normally do , coming into the championship. Adding in a trip to the USA was great, it was so mething Iíve wanted to try for a while. I didnít get the result I wanted there but t he race miles gathered were essential and super beneficial. Lalin in Spain looks like itís going to be a good location to kick the season off and Iím excited to get going n ow
