Aces High For Crowder at Grange Moor
RAW Enduro rattled off their final two Sprint Events of 2022 with the best attendance to date. Grange Moor MX complex once again allowed the annual use of two stubble fields to allow Wayne Braybrook to create an awesome best of 3 course. The MX riders were fast on the track and the stubble, then the enduro boys and girls were dragging time back through the trees.
Ace Suspension's Ryan Crowder topped the Championship class both days, a slip off on test one costing valuable time, saw Ryan fired up for all remaining tests. Impressing spectators with his MX skills Crowder gained in confidence all weekend to take the win and overall Championship. Fast Eddy Racing rider James Palmer has had a great Metezler Sprint Championship, pushing top places at all 6 events Palmer deserves his runner up place in the 2022 Championship.
RAW Team rider Callum Hughes is riding the crest of a wave, his current confidence and ability has led him P2 and P1 Expert at Round 5 and 6, for P1 Overall at Grange Moor. Kieron McAvoy was on fire Saturday taking the Expert win and joint runner up on exactly the same second as James Palmer. Tom Shepherd enjoyed his sprint weekend, taking runner up to Hughes on Sunday was a great ride.
With the course now fully bedded in, the berms were soft and inviting. Josh Knight soon worked out exactly how to save time after studying the course Saturday night with Team Manager Wayne Braybrook. Josh took a double win in the Clubman class, and grabbed the overall Championship to finish his sprint season on a high. Big shout out to Leoni Tighe, P3 Clubman on Sunday showing she can mix it up with the lads in a competitive class. Karl Hancock had fun on his 125 Beta, taking the Youth class win. Evan Sharpe had two consistent days netting him P2 overall in the Youth Sprint Championship. Old Boys rule… Aaron Crowder smashed the Vets class again with two wins, and he also placed top 10 on both days overall. Enjoying his riding Aaron now has another overall trophy for the Ace Cabinet at the end of the season. In the Sportsman class Ryan Stoneley had two fantastic results at Grange moor going 2-1 on the weekend for first place overall in the Sportsman Championship.
The 2022 six round Metzeler Sprint Championship was a BIG hit with riders, a compact, affordable, 3 weekend away set up, will run exactly the same again in 2023 as RAW Enduro lay on some of the best Sprint Tests at some super cool venues.
Thanks everyone for the Sprint Support, Spread the word we are back in 2023.
