There was a full entry for the Rhayader club’s Jack Frost Enduro featuring the second round of the ET James Welsh Enduro Championship, following recent heavy rain and snow the course was in sticky conditions but the competitors were soon revelling in the conditions.

In the small Championship class David Herring got the better of Charlie Evans on the first two tests but a slip on the third test saw Charlie fight back however Herring was soon back in the groove to take the win.

The expert’s class was hotly contested with Aled Price winning the first and third tests and looked good for the win but a broken chain on the course on his fourth lap saw him out of contention. Charlie Frost looked likely to inherit the win with the top time on the test on lap two but consistent tests saw the on-form Andrew Bull push Frost into second place by just five seconds following twenty minutes of tests. Bull improved as the day went on, winning all 3 of the last tests, the boy was on fire!

Local rider Alex Walton put his motocross experience to good use easily winning the clubman class by over a minute from Robert Hughes and Ryland Jones who were split by less than a second for the remaining podium places.

The Over 40 class is always very competitive and the usual suspects were again at the head of the field however for once Paul Davies was beaten by Jamie Jenkins with Jason Rees a close third while in the Over 50 class Paul Sagar was soon in an early lead however as the day went on Tim Cotton improved and was just 13 seconds behind Sagar at the finish.

In a large sportsman class Michael Dutton was over a minute ahead of Gareth Bailey and Bill Bradford who were split by a fraction of a second for runner up berth.
