Ricky Mair bounced back after a tough return to the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Duns to score two solid results at British Enduro Championship and Scottish MX2 Championship on the weekend. On Saturday 8th May, Ricky contested Round 2 British Enduro Championship held at Lossiemouth in North Scotland. Riding a steady, trouble free event over a duration of nearly 7.5 hours, Ricky placed himself 4th E1, 9th overall behind two multiple World Champions and several past European Champions. Unfortunately, due to motocross commitments, he was unable to ride Day 2 on Sunday and made the long journey Argyl for Round 3 Scottish MX2 Championship. Coming into the event lying 2nd in the championship, three consistent rides would keep his championship hopes alive. After a ropey start qualifying 3rd and a 5th in race 1 having fallen early on Ricky upped his game in the afternoon with a 3rd in race 2 and winning the final moto finishing 2nd overall for the day therefore maintaining 2nd in the championship standings. "It's been a tough weekend with alot of driving, riding and preparation but I'm very pleased with how I panned out. Saturday I just tried to be smooth and not make any stupid mistakes, its very easy to get carried away in the tight woods. I had a lot of bike preparation to do on Saturday night getting ready for the motocross on Sunday and felt a bit sluggish in the morning. Winning the final moto on Sunday made my weekend. The Moto One Safe Access KTM 250F never missed a beat all weekend and I'm really happy with the setup we have. I'd like to thank everyone for their backing and continued support making my racing possible." Ricky Mair 334
