Following Jason's success at the recent Alberta Endurocross he was invited by KTM North America to take part in the gruelling 12 hour Endurance event held at La Tuque, 180 miles Northeast of Montreal, in Quebec, Canada. For Jason & me this was an opportunity we had both dreamed of since the days when we first used to throw his Puch Magnum in the back of my Skoda Estelle & head off in a cloud of smoke to the races. We decided this was something we just had to do together. Full report

Relentless Suzuki Enduro rider Paul Edmondson pulled off the incredible feat on Sunday of scoring three event wins in just one week on board his new RM-Z450. At last weekend’s opening round of the Michelin Fast Cross series, Edmondson took the first victory in style, before going on to triumph on Wednesday at the opening round of the CF Racing XC series and finally topping it off with a win on Sunday in the third round of the Putoline XC Championship at Llandrillo, North Wales. The final win of the week saw Edmondson once again choose the RM-Z450 over his normally favoured RM250 two-stroke. Edmondson: ‘The new 450 is just a brilliant tool for the job. The power is so smooth and although there is plenty of it, riding the 450 feels like riding a 350. It handles so well and the power is there when you need it without being harsh. I never thought I would take to a four-stroke so readily, but this is the bike for me at the moment. I love it!’ The final win of the week gives Fast Eddy virtually an unassailable lead in the Putoline XC Championship and he looks set to take the title once again.

Having been subjected to the sunshine for the last two weeks the glorious grassy Yorkshire hillside was ready to be exploited to the full, promising to make up a fantastic course. After days of hard work from the RideOffRoad team the final course simply had everything leaving the riders who attended feeling repaid after giving the newly formed RideOffRoad team of Wilson and Braybrook their valued support. Deep in the heart of WOR country the long-awaited third round of the Putoline XC Championship, organised by fasteddyracing.com, ran last weekend with a somewhat depleted field, due mainly to the horrendous weather during the previous week. Despite rain throughout Saturday, when the Youth race ran, Sunday was completely different, cloudy with plenty of sunshine, ideal for XC racing. Details

Due to the fact the organisers of the 2nd Round of the European Championship listed TM's Jamie Paget as French, he was omitted from our first report but Jamie did compete in Portugal & he did very well. He had a good 1st day - finishing 8th & picking up 13pts. The 2nd day was not so good. He dropped to 11th when his chain derailed on the test but he still scored 10 pts. "It was a big learning curve of an event for me but enjoyed the experience. Speedy recovery to Greg Evans". |
