Track n Trail

Track n Trails blinding 7 round summer series has saved the best round for last, I have been out this week to plot this cross country track; we have a new downhill section using an old farm track weaving its way down the Purbeck hillside, plus there are some major changes to some of the wooded sections. This has got to be one the best tracks in the South: A stunningly good track set in some wild countryside! This unique track is set in the Purbeck Hills, gateway of the Jurassic Coast, this course includes the tracks and workings of an open cast mine, with some open going and plenty of woodland. Knight steps closer to Enduro 3 world title

David Knight has further extended his lead at the top of the Enduro 3 world championship standings. Following a runner-­-up result on day one of the GP of Greece David then topped the second day’s competition while his closest championship contender, Christophe Nambotin, failed to finish. Putting David 52 points ahead at the top of the E3 class standings, the newly signed factory KTM rider could now win his third E3 title at the penultimate round of the championship, which takes place in Turkey next weekend. GT Wall & Sons The Hafren Rally   Regs are now available for this years GT Wall & Sons Hafren Rally on the 10th October. The format will be similar to previous years with a few changes and improvements to the 45 mile lap, and 3 special stages. James Giddings wins the D2D 24

Walters Arena

In a magnificent feat of solo endurance James Giddings has won the 2010 Dawn to Dawn 24 hour race. 

The 7th annual D2D took place at Walters Arena on Sunday 29th August. Heavy rain had drenched the forest for a week but the sun shone for scutineering on Saturday. The format was similar to 2009 with 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour races culminating in one finish at 7.00pm on Sunday night. Full report - Photos

A fresh new track was prepared for round 5 of the rideoffroaduk Doodson Motorsport Championship at Low North Camp Harwood Dale On Sunday August 22nd. Wayne Braybrook and his team had spent a week on the east coast ensuring riders had lots of new challenges to deal with on race day.

The course was run in the reverse direction for the first time this year, having unearthed 5 new loops, as riders walked the track on Saturday they praised the organisation for providing yet another top class Enduro XC track, highly worthy of its Championship status. Full Report

Hinam on a high at 2 Valleys - 22nd August

The fantastic Two Valleys 5.5 mile circuit was in tip top condition for Track n Trail’s second visit this year. Most of the circuit had been regarded and a work party of youth riders had been working hard all week to remove large stones from the course. A few extra jumps had been added to create variation and the course was looking great on Saturday, well the parts you could see through the fog! Report - Results

Round 6 of the SEEC combine Enduro series was hosted by the RAF Motorsports Association at Slab Common in Hampshire at the weekend.

RAFMA has been active for nearly 50 years and this experience shone through even if the weather didn't. A flowing course at this sandy MOD land with trademark Hard and Easy sections, 2 special tests timed by similar technology to that used at British Championships, a minimum of 4 hours in the saddle for everyone along with the presence of former European champion Daryl Bolter gave the feeling of a national event not just a centre combine round. Big entry for "Simon Rees memorial" Hare 'n Hounds

An excellent entry of 100 riders competed in Rhayader Motor Clubs 8th annual running of the "Simon Rees memorial" Hare 'n Hounds at Cwmythig Hill last Sunday. The Club had set out a 4-mile circuit including the popular Hillside motocross circuit as well as nearby fields, which resulted in some excellent racing in all classes. Report & results

Riders follow a marked course & compete over timed stages. It requires the technical ability of Trials & the speed of Motocross. Cwm Ceireg Dyfi Rally - 4th & 5th September - The route for this years rally will be 50k to 60k per lap, with a 7k to 10k stage close to the start area, after last years bad weather the route planners are going to use a weather friendly lap similar to last years Sunday route. MWTRA organising team

Nant Y Moch Enduro - 12th September - The regs and entry form for this years event can now be downloaded from www.admcc.co.uk . The course has been reversed from last year and a lot of new going included. The test will consist of 50% trees and 50% Cross Country / MX Type going. The tight check will follow the more popular layout of being around 20 minutes and will be made up of around 90% off road going. The entry has been limited to 90 to ensure that all riders have a good ride. The Nant Y Moch Enduro made its come back last year after a 10 year break and is only available for the next 2 or 3 years before the windmills arrive. It is one of the nicest and most scenic rides of the Enduro calendar. If there is enough interest then a category for the classic machines can be included.

12th September - Stisted Long Distance Trial - classes for OLDER/CLASSIC Enduro bikes.  Its aimed at being a fun event with a 100 mile lap around the Essex Suffolk border, using Green Lanes, Byways and private Land. There will be free camping and the village pub is putting on music and food on the Saturday evening (all included in the entry). Details 

19th September - Freestyle Husqvarna Canada Heights Enduro Swanley, Kent, just of the M25. Open to members of all ACU clubs and riders from 15 upwards and day Club membership and day licences available for non-ACU club members. A proper timecard enduro over a six-mile lap including the Canada Heights MX track, surrounding woods and fields. Championship, Expert, Clubman and Sportsman classes on different time schedules. A round of the South Eastern Centre Championship. Free camping from Friday to Monday. Bring the other half - Bluewater shopping centre is only five miles away! Details - Regs 

Natterjack Enduro 25th & 26th Sept 2009 The last round of the British Enduro Championships (Natterjack Enduro) draws ever closer. This is the only round of the British Championships which allows Sportsmen and Sportswomen to ride alongside the top championship riders. As always at Longmoor, there is a camping area (hard standing) & ample parking, both of which will be available from Thursday lunch time. Both Sand Bowl test and the Enduro test are within 10 mins walk from the start area with the added bonus of only one central re-fueling area. The whole event will be filmed (get your 15 seconds of fame) and put together on a DVD for sale after the event. As always we will have a secure Parc Ferme Friday & Saturday night, so if you fancy riding & competing against British, European and World Enduro Legends get your entries in now? 25th/26th September - The Big One 'ENDUROFEST' - sponsored by Enduro News -Manor farm.Adstone Northants NN12 8DT - The UKs only festival for quads, trailbikes and enduro. Two days of action packed x-country/enduro practice at Enduroland's
home venue in Northamptonshire. Separate tracks for quads and solos and a dedicated kids/youth practice
Loop.(6-16 years ) max 250cc. Main event is the qtc -quad all terrain challenge for both sports and
4x4 quads.Come and see the quads tackle the assault course with timed laps fighting for the mighty QTC cup. Also the man -made arena sees 'bosshogs beat the clock' this is for the Solo enduro bikes (mx bikes welcome). Separate ladies only challenge and this year we have added 'the Ywinshock Challenge' superb trophies in all categories.
