After a break of several years, Caerphilly & District MCC revived the time card enduro in the Wentwood forest near Newport on Sunday 14th March. Unusually for the Wet-wood, the weather was dry & the ground was in perfect condition. The lap was 12 miles & the schedules ranged from 4 laps for Sportsmen to 8 laps for the Experts. Jon Hinam - who is still recovering from broken ribs - rode a timed lap in 28 minutes so Clerk of the Course Nigel Smith could set the Experts fastest lap at 24 minutes to ensure the event would be won or lost on the going. Houson lazers the opposition in Abram win The ride xc crew after months of planning the new lazer xc series, set new standards at Abram near Wigan with a superb track that was power harrowed over the Friday and Saturday to perfection the result was 5 miles of xc racing at its best. With only a week to get the track at Abram up to this meticulous standard because of the wet condition at the planned opening round at the leisure lakes the ride xc crew worked themselves to the bone to completed the track in time and deliver something special. Derek Bawn won the second round of the 2010 CTRacing series at Tyr Shon Shenken near Pontypool on Sunday 7th March. The race began at 11.00am. The weather was crystal clear with a biting cold easterly wind. Report & Results - Video

The UEM recently announced that they would be initiating a " Team UEM Enduro" Promotion for the 2010 European Enduro Championship. In partnership with Husqvarna and UFO Plast , support would be given to 3 riders to contest the 4 round series. This support would consist of access to Team mechanical workshop, race truck and covered areas at all rounds, as well as spares, technical assistance tyres and mousse for every event. The first round of the 2010 Metzler ACU British Enduro Championship turned out to be a tough one for the riders, organisers & spectators. The tail end of the bad weather that had devastated Madiera - a week before - swept across the Bay of Biscay & gave the Thetford forest a thorough soaking. The previous day had been dry & sunny for the riders to walk the test but by 6.00pm the intermittent showers of light drizzle had become heavy rain. Clerk of the Course Andy Waters' biggest concern was the forecast wind. If it exceeded 62 kph. the event would have to be cancelled due to the Forestry's Health & Safety guidelines. He had proposed 4 laps for the Clubman, 5 for the Experts & 6 for the Championship but he was prepared for every contingency. Full Report

Caerphilly MC has resurrected the Wentwood Enduro on the 14th March 2010. This famous event is known by all who have competed in enduros over the last couple of decades and is renowned as a traditional time card enduro set to test all who compete at all levels. Over the years the Wentwood Forest has hosted many enduros under different names with the Curly Oaks, the Little Oaks and in its last guise the Adrian Ellis Enduro that was last run in 2005. It gives riders a chance to experience a good forestry with classic enduro going that gives all who compete a sense of pride on completing the event. Entries are still being taken and include all Enduro classes plus O40, O50, trail bike, Ladies and sidecars. Regs. So get entering and have an enjoyable day in one of the true classic Welsh Forestry timecard Enduros Ceredigion Championship Presentation for 2009 and Craig Bounds Evening - 26th March 2010 at Lampeter Rugby Craig Bounds will speak about his riding career and being the first Welshman to finish the Dakar. Tickets will be £5 with all proceeds going to the Air Ambulance. Don't miss out on what promises to be a great evening Special Test Event On April 11th ADMCC will run a special test event to give riders of all classes the opportunity to spend some time improving their special test times. The day will comprise of an early morning practice followed by as many laps as you can get in. The laps will be timed by transponders and riders will be set off in their groups. The numbers will be limited to ensure that riders have maximum time on the lap. The event will be held at the Lledrod Motocross track and will use parts of the track along with the grassy areas around it comprising of cambers, hills and natural jumps. The club will also construct easy and harder routes at selected parts of the course. The harder routes will be made up of log crossing sections, a wood pit and a tractor tyre sections. just over two weeks until the opening round of the '10 British Enduro
Sprint Championship kicks off at Chavenage Farm, Gloucestershire,
organisers GMC Events Ltd would like to inform riders that entries are
still available in each of the three classes. With the Under 23 class
having already attracted an extremely strong line-up of riders, and with
the Elite class welcoming many more of Britain's best enduro racers, the
BESC Expert class is also looking good. GMC Events would like to point out
that it also welcomes Clubman competitors and that the Expert class is a
combined Expert & Clubman category. Any rider interested in competing

The Cotswold Enduro Club have had to move Round 1 of the Slow Pete Series
from Lockridge Farm at Worcester to Tall Pines- Great Brick Hill - Bucks -
MK17 9AY otherwise know as Nigel Wheatley's Enduroland Venue. I will
personally inform all the riders that are booked in on Monday 15th March
to see if they still want to ride at this new venue. Entries are still
