The final round of the Metzeler ACU British Enduro Championship took place at Longmoor Camp near Borden this weekend. David Knight had secured the overall championship at the Dyfi and he was be competing in the EWC but there is still a lot to play for. Only 5 points separate E1 4T leader Daryl Bolter from Paul Edmondson in 2nd place and Tom Sagar still needed to score points to take the E2 championship. 2 days of rain had drenched the South East and a biting North wind reminded everyone that it was the end of the season and Autumn had arrived but on Friday evening a clear sky blew in with the promise of sun. E3 champ Knight brings EWC season to a close

With the Enduro 3 World Championship title already his David Knight’s participation in the eighth and final round of the ’10 EWC series proved to be an eventful one with the Manxman retiring from day one after tweaking his groin. Then, much to his surprise, he was handed a one-­-minute penalty at the end on day two, which prevented him from topping the podium. Report

Tough times for Electraction TM at EWC final

Electraction TM rider Josh Green brought his participation in the ’10 Enduro World Championship to a close at the recent GP of France, placing in 10th position in the Enduro Junior class on day one before disappointingly crashing out of the event early on day two. Joining Josh in Noiretable, and making his EWC debut, was 19-year-old Irishman Jordan Scott. More than a little unsure of what the event would be like, Jordan battled his way to the finish of both days of what was an extremely challenging event. Report

Another Podium Finish for Moyce!

The final round of the 2010 UEM European Enduro Championship took place at Oliveira do Hospital in Portugal. Temperatures rose to 39 degrees and the rocky hills and woods were very dry along the 50 km loop that the riders rode 3 times a day and the 3 special tests were a combination of a MX track, enduro test and an extreme rock section which featured a giant near vertical slab of rock the riders had to climb. Some may find it hard to believe, after a run of 12 months the rideoffroaduk team had their first wet event since September 2009. Lee Dell Rochdale was the host to round 3 of the ACU Events Ltd Introductory Enduro XC Championship aimed at Sportsman and Hobby riders. Report

Good Day at Black Dog National Hewitt XC Championship Rd4 - Black Dog Woods - 19th September

The venue for round 4 of the National Hewitt XC Championship was in Black Dog Woods - part of Lord Baths Longleat Estate near Warminster Somerset. The course - laid out by the Midwest team - started in two large open fields laid out as motocross type going then entering the woods for a ten minute loop which was tight and technical. The woods were unusually dry but still had some wet parts and not using any fire roads in the woods riders were given a good test. The large expert field kept the crowds of spectators entertained with drama from the first corner until the finish three hours later with the very close racing and the lead changing all the time. Nothing "namby pamby" about Manby!!!

The Dirtbike Traxs Team had a venue change for Round 9 of the National Putoline Hare Scramble Championship, Manby Motorplex, in Louth.

The open expanse of the 4 x 4 off road training area at the Motorplex was an ideal setting for a H & H race, with wide rolling tracks, tight twisting corners, and a couple of small hills for the show boaters to get a bit of air time! Report & results

Ride XC's mission to provide new venues for their riders continued as the club ventured to yet another new virgin venue for round 6 of the Lazer XC Championship. Pockthorpe near Driffield east Yorkshire, was the location with a massive stubble field and several blocks of woodland all linked together to form a fast flowing exhilarating track with excellent ground conditions. Monster Energy/Fred Andrews Racing/Husqvarna's Jason Thomas has claimed his 2nd GNCC XC2 PRO-LITES Class Podium this weekend with an excellent 3rd place finish on the all-new Husqvarna TXC250F machine,at round 11 of this year's series,the Titan event, held in Lafayette, Tennessee. Thomas, who is delighted with all aspects of his new machine, is currently lying in 2nd place overall in the XC2 PRO-LITES Championship, with just two rounds left to go. This latest result means he is also holding on to 8th place overall in the 2010 GNCC Series. Rainfall in the Lafayette area towards the end of last week made for some exciting creek-crossings this weekend on the tough Tennessee track, but the Husqvarna coped perfectly with every obstacle Jason encountered throughout the three-hour race. Since his last outing at round 10 of the GNCC's two weeks ago, Thomas has also been putting the machine through its paces closer to the Fred Andrews Racing team base in Salem, Ohio, with a win there last weekend at a local Cross-Country event. Jason & the Monster Energy/Fred Andrews Racing/Husqvarna team will be back in GNCC action again in two weeks time,on October 10th,at the ITP Powerline Park race,which will be held a little closer to home,at St Clairsville,Ohio.

Track n Trail’s 2010/11 Winter Series

There is a new class for the Over 50’s, this is well over due but we have needed time to reprogram our live timing services to accommodate this great class. The next event will be a Sprint Scramble at The Deverills venue on the 3rd October, this is round 1 of the Winter Series, the rest of the dates will be announced soon! All other rounds will be Hare & Hounds. We are very pleased to be introducing three new outstanding venues to this up and coming Track n Trail Winter Series. Freestyle Husqvarna are proud to announce that Wyn Hughes, 7 times British Champion riding Husqvarna is making a welcome return to the sport of Enduro. Wyn is looking forward to competing in the veterans class of the British Championship after a break from competitive riding of 11 years.

Colin Port MD of Freestyle commented 'we are very pleased to have Wyn join us, he brings with him vast knowledge of the sport of Enduro and of Husqvarna. Our aim is for Wyn to assist us in developing young riders within the team (yet to be announced) as well as competing himself. Along with Perry Leask, who looks after the teams suspension and helps with training, we feel we now have a team of people who are all passionate and knowledgeable about Husqvarna to help us put the brand of Husqvarna back where it belongs - at the top.

RYMXC Rhayader Youth Motocross Club held Round 11 of the Club Championship along side the Final Round of the Welsh Championship on Sunday 19th September 2010 at Cymithig Track with kind permission of Rhayader Moto Club. With a cold, windy start to the day and everyone praying that the rain would stay away it all kicked off with some outstanding close racing all day, the rain stayed away and everyone stayed happy!!
