The 5th round of the 2009 GBXC series introduced riders to another great new venue located in the beautiful Usk valley between the Black mountains & the Brecon Beacons on the Glan Usk Estate, Crickhowell near Abergavenny. With 3 out of 4 wins, Tom Sagar was the clear leader in the overall standings with a 21pt lead over MPS Husqvarna's Aston Bird. With a win today Tom would win the series outright but the late entry of David Knight on his new Kawasaki would rewrite the script. Report & results

"Joe rocks Hope" Cotswold Enduro Club staged round 3 of the Rock Oil Amca British Championship at Bury Farm Hope Under Dinmore Near Leominster on Sunday 28th June 5 miles of natural old woodland, small spinney's, streams and a few sections of flat out going made up what was declared by most riders to be a fantastic venue and track and with it being 90% in trees it was quiet cool considering the out side temperatures along with the ¼ mile of stream kept the riders wet and chilled on each lap, especially one section which became very deep. Full report Preparations for Round 6 of the rideoffroaduk Hare & Hounds Championship on July 19th are progressing ahead of schedule, with the previous visit to Norwood being a bone dry affair and with the track hardly marked, our second visit this year looks set to be a superb weekend of Hare & Hounds Enduro action. Clarke Claims Second Victory of the Season After a hectic and challenging fortnight of racing in the World Enduro Championship, Electraction TM UK’s Gordon Clarke returned home on Sunday last to compete in second round of the Irish Enduro Championship. With three 50 km loops and four timed runs through the 8km long forestry special test it would be anything but an easy Sunday afternoon spin. Comfortably making the check times set out, it soon became clear that the event would be won and lost on the special test and in particular the final tricky uphill climb to the finish. After the opening test Gordon found himself in second position but rose to the top of the class after blitzing his second run through the test. Full report

The beautiful forest in the heart of Dorset provides enduro riders with a taste of the good life. Meandering paths, fast fire-roads, winding nadgery trails, and huge hills. It's all there and with a good 8 mile loop there's enough of it to go round. Carl Tiley justified the trip down and took the overall win ahead of local hotshot Mark Cornick. Tyson Maytom-Jones took the Expert win and with it the 'Lee Wheatley Memorial Trophy'.The racing in the Vets class was nail biting stuff with Craig Beattie and Martin Brown arriving at the scanning point for the final time together - they were awarded joint first with local lad Glen Axon within spitting distance. Andy Claxton fought his way through following a poor start to take the Clubman E2 class while Jet Ski wizz kid Jake Forward and newcomer to the sport dominated the E1 class. The Ladies class was won by Dakar hopeful Tamsin Jones, but it took her till the last lap to get by Clare Taylor. Full report to follow. Results - Photos

Sunday 28th July saw Chorley MX Club run their annual Scorton Enduro at Fell End Farm, Scorton. The weather was forecasted to be very hot - and that it was - with a sudden down pour watering the track on Saturday tea time. The track was in great condition, ready for the 3 hours that the 120 entry riders had committed for. At 11.15am, Dave Jagger dropped the flag as the experts sped away for the start of the race. It was Lincoln Brewster on the KB Racing KTM that took the holeshot followed by his team mate Lewis Belfield. The next line off were the Clubman in which Andy Noakley led from Jane Daniels. They were followed by the closely contested Over-40's with the Sportsman and Novice classes all getting away incident free. Full Report - Photos
