James Giddings wins the D2D 24

In a magnificent feat of solo endurance James Giddings has won the 2010 Dawn to Dawn 24 hour race. 

The 7th annual D2D took place at Walters Arena on Sunday 29th August. Heavy rain had drenched the forest for a week but the sun shone for scutineering on Saturday. The format was similar to 2009 with 24 hour, 12 hour and 6 hour races culminating in one finish at 7.00pm on Sunday night.

Hinam on a high at 2 Valleys - 22nd August

The fantastic Two Valleys 5.5 mile circuit was in tip top condition for Track n Trail’s second visit this year. Most of the circuit had been regarded and a work party of youth riders had been working hard all week to remove large stones from the course. A few extra jumps had been added to create variation and the course was looking great on Saturday, well the parts you could see through the fog!

Round 6 of the SEEC combine Enduro series was hosted by the RAF Motorsports Association at Slab Common in Hampshire at the weekend.

RAFMA has been active for nearly 50 years and this experience shone through even if the weather didn't. A flowing course at this sandy MOD land with trademark Hard and Easy sections, 2 special tests timed by similar technology to that used at British Championships, a minimum of 4 hours in the saddle for everyone along with the presence of former European champion Daryl Bolter gave the feeling of a national event not just a centre combine round. Big entry for "Simon Rees memorial" Hare 'n Hounds

An excellent entry of 100 riders competed in Rhayader Motor Clubs 8th annual running of the "Simon Rees memorial" Hare 'n Hounds at Cwmythig Hill last Sunday. The Club had set out a 4-mile circuit including the popular Hillside motocross circuit as well as nearby fields, which resulted in some excellent racing in all classes. Report & results

Boundsy wins Beacons 2 Day Rally

The Welsh Trail Riders Association held their Beacons 2 Day Rally in  the Crychan forest this weekend. The Met Office issued a "Be aware" severe weather warning for Saturday. There is no better place than the Crychan to be aware of severe weather.

Jordon Rose Claims Expert Victory

A fresh new track was prepared for round 5 of the rideoffroaduk Doodson Motorsport Championship at Low North Camp Harwood Dale On Sunday August 22nd. Wayne Braybrook and his team had spent a week on the east coast ensuring riders had lots of new challenges to deal with on race day.

The course was run in the reverse direction for the first time this year, having unearthed 5 new loops, as riders walked the track on Saturday they praised the organisation for providing yet another top class Enduro XC track, highly worthy of its Championship status. Full Report

Knight time at Docklands

Enduro superstar David Knight and FMX guru Drake Mcelroy spent Monday morning tearing it up at Docklands Riders Track KG5. The pair of Red Bull athletes came down early, one to clear an X-fighters weekend hangover and the other to shake off the aches from a weekend of B.E.C.Bikes and bodies were warmed up on the moto-x track to the amazement of a few Docklands Dirtriders junior and youth club members who were taking notes on how to shred the dusty berms.Coaches Chris Salt and Dylan Evans had their eyes opened to some impressive new lines around the Enduro Cross track as some stylish moves were pulled by both riders over the various obstacles for the Red Bull cameras.

As the riders recovered from the short workout there was plenty of chat of cool places in the World to ride and Track KG5 got a big thumbs up for being such an innovative practice facility in such an urban environment. Drake and David autographed a few shirts and helmets before setting off on classic British bikes across London for some more Red Bull filming on route to the Ace café.Thanks to Red Bull and to David and Drake for being such thoroughly nice guys.
