13th/14th February - TGOR Driffield’s ever popular East Yorkshire venue hosts the 1st Rd of the National Hare Scramble Championship celebrating its 20th anniversary many riders returning year on year. Whatever the weather this is a circuit that riders of all ability can get round and enjoy. A variety of going from open fast to twisty woodland sections and the spectator friendly MX section this event has something for everyone. The large tarmac paddock area which can accommodate more than 1000 vehicles also means no worries about waiting to be towed off at the end of the day. The program for the weekend will be Youth/Ladies race followed by the Quads on Saturday afternoon. The main Adult solo race Starting at 11:00 Sunday morning. 14th February - Open meeting - Cotswold Enduro Club - Swynnerton Training Area at Cold Meece near Stone in Staffordshire This is an active MOD Training Camp and is a most bizarre place but with a massive mix of terrains the scope is endless with its sunken bunkers, mixed woodland, long open trails and technical section every where and nearly 600 acres to play with this should make for a unique Event. A massive tarmac car park will ensure that the event will take place what ever the weather Originally scheduled to be round 1 of the Rock Oil Amca British Hare & Hound Championship but because we cant start until 12 noon it was thought unfair to the rider that would have to travel long distances which would make for a very long day With the thought of the long drive home on a Sunday night The reason for the late start is that there is an exercise-taking place until 11.30am We will be going to Swynnerton for a round of the Rock Oil British but I will be booking a morning slot so as to accommodate the rider with long distances to travel So why not book in for an early season ride at what I believe will develop into one of the best venues in the Country - Details - Photos | |

11th April - Special Test Event - ADMCC will run a special test event to give riders of all classes the opportunity to spend some time improving their special test times. The day will comprise of an early morning practice followed by as many laps as you can get in. The laps will be timed by transponders and riders will be set off in their groups. The numbers will be limited to ensure that riders have maximum time on the lap. The event will be held at the Lledrod Motocross track and will use parts of the track along with the grassy areas around it comprising of cambers, hills and natural jumps. The club will also construct easy and harder routes at selected parts of the course. The harder routes will be made up of log crossing sections, a wood pit and a tractor tyre sections. BOWLAND Dirtbike-Traxs will be running a 5hr Ironman challenge at the very
popular venue Bolton by Bowland over the weekend of 10/11 July, followed
by the TGOR Ironman at Butts Quarry on Bank holiday Sunday 29th Aug. The
team have been working hard to improve the track since the last race,
grading and making alterations to make the weekends riding a great
experience for everyone.The farmer has been very helpful in allowing the
team to make the required improvements and also allowing them to include
the two hay fields to make the track even longer as well as making it
better for parking and camping, which will be available from the Friday
night for those that want to come and make it a sociable weekend away. The
weekend will start with a full practice day on Saturday 10th July to allow
everyone a chance to ride the track at their own pace without the hustle
and bustle of race day adrenalin. WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT TOP MX RIDER RYAN VOASE IS HOLDING A TRAINING SESSION ON SAT 10TH JULY. 18th July, - TracknTrail Summer Series,- Round 5 - New Venue: Long Bridge Deverill - This new track has the grin factor: It is set in a fairly steep valley with parking and the start on a large flat area at the top overlooking the first mile of track. The track which is set entirely on grass and will be laid out as a flat and twisty special test before it drops into a 90 foot valley with a ski jump at the top to drop the riders into the bottom, the course then carves you up and down this huge bowl along a massive bank to the next valley and works its way carving and jumping around this next technical bowl. With some manmade and natural jumps it then works its way back in the same rhythm, with a hill climb offering a hard or easy route choice towards the end of the lap. I don’t think you will ever ride another crazy track like this one: It will give riders of all levels a big adrenalin rush and is ideal for the Sprint Scramble format. - Details | |

18th July - Chicken Farm Enduro - West Glos and Dean Forest MCC - A NEW and exciting course through farmland and woodland is being laid out by experienced enduro organisers in the Forest of Dean. Entries are still available for the West Glos and Dean Forest MCC's Chicken Farm Enduro, to be run on Sunday, July 18. Clerk of the course Glenn Thomas and his team are cutting out a four mile loop near Coleford, which promises to include some interesting features not seen before. The three hour hare and hounds race starts at 11am and there are classes for experts, over 40s, clubmen, sportsmen, twinshocks, trailbikes, and ladies. The event follows on from three successful years of the Chicken Run Enduro near Monmouth, which proved popular with a wide range of riders. 24/25th July - Putoline Fast Eddy Championship - Rd 5 Starting off on Saturday morning the Putoline Suzuki Team will be holding two training sessions, the first at 10.00 am - 12.30 pm for the youth riders and then from 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm for the adults. With true enduro and experienced off road riders at the helm of the team will be focusing on helping the riders of all abilities and levels. The training sessions are limited so not to overcrowd the groups, one other important thing the price just £35 per rider and a £10 discount off Sundays race should the rider wish to do both. On Sunday the 25th will see the XC Youth race start the day's proceedings at 10.00 am with a 1 ½ hour race ranging from auto's through to 125cc youth. 12.30 pm will see the start of the Adults race where we expect to see another bumper entry, with many clubs and promoters finding times difficult we have still remained focused on keeping it sensible with the price of the entry fee and a fun atmosphere at all of the Putoline XC rounds. After the fantastic response from riders earlier in the season for more of these types of a events we are pleased to be back at the popular Butts Quarry Ashover venue. This track suites this race format very well with many advantage points around the track to see and encourage team mates to push on. Away from the pressures of XC Championship rounds this event puts all its efforts into making it a fun event for both riders and support alike. For those who haven't ridden Butts before the track is a mixture of a well established MX course and good technical wooded sections. Sat/Sun 11th/12th September - 2010 NORTHUMBRIAN RALLY - A brand new club is resurrecting the Northumbrian Rally from the not to distant past with this event held in Kershope forest about 10 miles north of Brampton this is a two day rally help over the weekend of 11th and 12th September 2010 and will form the third round of the UK Rally Championship. The forest has never been used for a motorcycle event and has given up some lovely off road tracks for the riders to enjoy. With a planned lap of 32 miles and planned 3 laps each day there should be plenty for everybody.. In the entry is included free camping at the start area with evening food provided after the event on the Saturday and Sunday. The camping is on hard ground so airbeds might be the order of the day. The tight check will follow the more popular layout of being around 20 minutes and will be made up of around 90% off road going. The Nant Y Moch Enduro made its come back last year after a 10 year break and is only available for the next 2 or 3 years before the windmills arrive. 19th September - Mercian Dirt Riders are set for another well organised event at the popular track set in 250 acres of farmland and woodland crossing a valley at Llangrove near Monmouth. The crew have already been out sorting the course which will be run in the opposite direction to last time. The usual stream crossings are in as well as the faster going and the M X track is in good condition, so if the weather holds it should be a cracking 3 hours riding on a 5 mile course. Open to all adult classes this is the penultimate round for those who are riding in the club championship and at the moment it is a close run thing in several classes, with the best 5 of 6 rounds to count this should add to the excitement. The entry fee will be £32.00 for AMCA enduro registered riders and AMCA motocross licence holders only. Shrewsbury, is looking good. With a better run of weather this week and
the strong winds the track seems to be drying out nicely. With a MX track
surrounding field's, and a small area of woodland the course building team
will start work on Thursday. After a great response from the youth riders
we can now confirm that an extra class has been added this will cater for
auto's, 65 cc and under 13yrs, these riders will get 2 x 30 min races,
race times for this group will be 9.30 am till 10.00 am and 12-12.30 pm at
a cost of £25 per rider. Entries are still available in all classes and riders are welcome to turn up and race with no extra charge on the day. Championship - North Riding Enduro Club - Details "White Horse Raps up NEEC for 2010" The North Riding Enduro Club is hosting the final round of this years NEEC time card Enduro season in the North Of England with the "White Horse Enduro" on 10th October 2010. This "White Horse" replaces the cancelled "Stang" event from back in July. The "White Horse" event is to be run in the popular "Boltby Forest" near Thirsk, in North Yorkshire and has a great course consisting of forest, fire road and moorland going which should be very ride able and enjoyable. There is a class for everybody and all abilities, and the club are keen to welcome any new comers to the sport and offer help at the start to explain how to work out your times, or answer any questions- just make sure you turn up early! Enrties from teams of riders are also welcome. So, if you fancy taking part in a traditional "Time Card" event, please contact Andy Cooke (on 01423 503090- see "regs available") who will be happy to sort you out with an entry in this end of season forest enduro! NREC try out new "Classic Enduro Class" on 10th October Yes that's right, you heard it hear first- the North Riding Enduro Club have added the new class to the "White Horse Enduro" on the 10th October, to attract riders on machines built before 1985! The plan is, if this is successful, it can be added to the "North of England Enduro Championships" for 2011. The idea is not a new one, and following some interest from riders with older and much loved machinery in their garages, the club invite you to come along to the White Horse event with your pride and joy and have a ride round the Boltby Forest which promises to be a "Classic" event! 14th November - Round 1 of our Winter Series will be a Hare & Hounds at Bagshot. This is a great all weather track and parking, licensed from the MOD. The course is set in a beautiful forest, with contour hugging tracks and flowing woodland. With plentiful supply of open meandering tracks and trails the course should be around 6 miles long there will be some easy and hard route choices. We do not have the normal luxury to re-grade afterwards so rear tyres need to be Enduro, trial or a worn MX tyre with no more than 13mm knobble tyres(any tyre acceptable on the front). Counties Enduro Club, are hosting a 3hr Hare and Hounds at the exclusive
areas of Bovington and Mexi military training areas in Dorset, in memory
of Seth Stephens who sadly passed away in July on active service in
Afghanistan. The course will be held over exceptional land consisting of flowing forestry, extensive sand bowl and technical areas for all abilities. The course will cater for Sportsmen through to a Pro Class and will be approximately 16-18 minutes in length. | S A C U | 12th December - Metzeler Melville Scottish Hare and Hound Championship - CANCELLED - It is with regret that I have to announce that the first round of the Scottish Hare and Hound Championship at Lochhouses has been cancelled. The weather has beaten us this year, the decision was not made lightly as this is one of the highlights of the year attracting well over 200 entries. The forest has to be protected for future events and there would have been an issue with parking. This also means that the Paul Edmondson training is also cancelled. It is unlikely we will find another date although there is a motocross scheduled for the 16th January and the next Melville Scottish Championship Hare and Hound is back to Lochhouses on the 13th February. Riders will have the option to carry forward their entry for the motocross or the next hare and hound, contact secretary Graeme Chalmers graeme1@gmx.com to confirm. | |
