Taddy holds the keys to Hell's Gate
Taddy Blazusiak has won the 2009 Hell's Gate. Taddy topped the leader board after the qualifying race
ahead of Alessandro Botturi & Bartoz Oblucki
was third. They were followed home by 3 Brits. Graham
JArvis on a Sherco 350 was 4th. Tom Sagar on the Midwest Husaberg FE450
was 5th & Dougie Lampkin on Beta 450 was 6th. Mark Jackson of
Eurotek KTM was 22nd. Only 39 riders completed the morning course to
qualify for the main event. Results
In the
main race, the leaders repeated their qualifying performances
with Taddy taking the win ahead of Alessandro Botturi. Dougie Lampkin in
his first season of Extreme Enduro completed the podium. Graham Jarvis
was 4th & Tom Sagar was 5th, Germany's Andreas Lettenbichler was 6th
on a BMW & Italy's Piero Sembenini was 7th for GasGas. Only these 7 riders
were classified as finishers in this notoriously grueling race. Results

D3 Racings' Murray Thomson won a very icy Metzeler Melville Hare and
Hound on Sunday. Lochhouses farm saw145 riders brave the conditions,
although the forecast was for worse, the ground was hard on the motocross
track and much better through the trees. Details

Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are running the Colmore Cup on the 8th
of March starting at Downs Farm near Bourton on the Hill and we are
looking for possible Observers. This is a Novogar Clubmans championship
round and we already have an entry of over 70 riders. The Colmore
traditionally uses punch cards so that the results are announced as the
last rider finishes. This means that the club will need 40 observers and
40 punch card markers. Any offers to help would be greatly received.
Those with bikes are more than welcome to bring their machines along and
try out the sections after the riders have been through. Contact Pete

Midwest Racing 2009 Enduro Team Launch

On a cold, damp and dull Winter's morning at their Melksham based
headquarters, Midwest Racing launched their bright, young and very
exciting enduro team for the upcoming season. Ready to explode into the
2009 campaign aboard their tasty new Husaberg projectiles are 23
year-old Tom Sagar and 21year-old Ollie Moyce. During 2009,team leader
Tom will be contesting the E3 World Enduro championship,E2 British
Enduro championship, the GBXC series and other selected events.
Meanwhile, Ollie will be chasing glory in the European Enduro
championship, selected World Enduro championship rounds, British Enduro
championship, GBXC and also other home events.
Support for the team during 2009 will also be provided by Redlynch
Agricultural Engineering,IS02 Nutrition,Rygor Commercials,Regina,
TwinAir, Airoh, Evoke Concepts, Carbone Lorraine, TCX Boots, Renthal,
Metzeler, Putoline,Scott and Acerbis. Watch out for this dynamic new
enduro team coming to a podium near you !!!.

Christine Eland passed away on 9th February 2009 after a short stay in
hospital.
Christine was around the enduro events with both George (Husband) and
Brian (Son). She will be missed by them both and many others who met her over
the years. The service is on Monday 16th February at 12:30 in the
Tynemouth Crematorium. Flowers or donations to
cancer research will be gratefully accepted.

Bradley Kings' Ardua
After two full weekends of training, practice and bike setup with the
rest of the GGuk team.,I entered the Ardua Enduro at the Bagshot
training area hoping to get more preparation towards the 1st round of
the BEC - the Muntjac Enduro - The week long snowy weather certainly
played its part on the track with most of it being deep ruts or slippery
hills and some dodgy icey tracks. Full

Cotswold event cancelled - This weekends event at
Proteus Camp has been called off today Tuesday 10th Feb at 13.15pm.
After a track inspection this morning the land is lying too wet. Also
some robbing person has pinched all our pink and yellow plastic posts
(500 in total) which we left up there ready for this weekends event. So
if you know of anyone who has been offered these posts to let us know.
This round will not be re scheduled up at Proteus Camp but we will re
run it at another event. All riders booked in for this event will be
contacted sometime in the next 2 days and offered a refund or a credit
