Putoline Suzuki by www.fasteddyracing.com rider Tom Sagar, added yet another victory to the growing list for the new Suzuki RMX450Z, by winning the second round of the Putoline XC Championship, held at Buildwas, near Ironbridge in Shropshire yesterday. Leading a quality field of Pro riders right from the start of the 2.5-hour race, Sagar continued his run of blistering form around the technical four-mile course, proving that the new RMX450Z really can take taking everything in its stride. Sagar: “This event was a great opportunity to try the new bike in really technical and challenging terrain and it came up trumps. I knew it had plenty of grunt and flat out speed but it showed me today just how well it can handle the tight stuff too. The smooth power delivery was spot on for the many gnarly uphill climbs through the woodland sections, which became very rooty in places, but I always felt there was plenty of grip.” Team manager Paul Edmondson:“Another great result for Tom and the RMX. The crucial factor to this is how comfortable he feels with the new bike. He’s able to ride within his limits and still take victory, which is clearly very positive as we get ready for world competition in the coming weeks and of course the second round of the British Enduro Championship before that.” Results

The first round of the 2010 Metzler ACU British Enduro Championship turned out to be a tough one for the riders, organisers & spectators. The tail end of the bad weather that had devastated Madiera - a week before - swept across the Bay of Biscay & gave the Thetford forest a thorough soaking. The previous day had been dry & sunny for the riders to walk the test but by 6.00pm the intermittent showers of light drizzle had become heavy rain. Clerk of the Course Andy Waters' biggest concern was the forecast wind. If it exceeded 62 kph. the event would have to be cancelled due to the Forestry's Health & Safety guidelines. He had proposed 4 laps for the Clubman, 5 for the Experts & 6 for the Championship but he was prepared for every contingency.

Other News Caistor Postponed to Feb 7th in 3 Weeks Time. Following a daily track inspection, and with no break in the Baltic weather conditions looking likely over the next 7 days, rideoffroaduk clerk of the course Wayne Braybrook has taken the decision to postpone our first winter warmer event until Feb 7th in just over 3 weeks. The main reason for postponing the event is the safety of riders and support teams entering and leaving the site. We must have no doubt that we can get all vehicles into the paddock safely, at this stage we can't positively say that would happen. If we have any more snow or the Freezing Rain that many areas experienced on Wednesday the safe running of the event would be in question. So with the entry almost full to capacity, we can say that all entries will be carried over to Feb 7th. Any rider not booked in wishing to get a ride on Feb 7th should call 07802 572023 to book in where we will confirm race number and class entry there and then.
